I met Danny a couple years ago at a comic book convention in Chicago. He couldn't have been nicer. While I was picking out an 8x10 to have signed. He signed and wrote a long message on a Spy Kids 8x10 and just gave it to my son for free who was 3 at the time. Then we took a group photo and after, he said he wanted a photo with just my son and they took a photo flexing their muscles. Danny asked me for my address, 3 weeks later he mailed me a machete. 2 weeks later, he mailed me another one with a "Machete" plaque on it and he signed that as well. I've never met a nicer person. I was his biggest fan before that and that experience reaffirmed why.

I meet him at Santa Monica beach, he looked down on funds so me being me I walked up to him gave him a hug an tried to low key hand him money waded up but he denied me instead gave me the biggest 2 hand hug an took a pic with him, I’ll never forget how humble that man was!
