In highschool, people don't directly bully you. They spread rumors, or make fun of you behind your back. They don't just walk up to you and say *GIMME YOUR LUNCH MONEYS*
@aeromotex5 жыл бұрын
sometimes. but other times they will physically hurt you
@waynehayes9125 жыл бұрын
@@aeromotex depends on the type of bully. OP's bully is covert and is probably doing it because of low self-esteem issues. They bully because they don't know how be friendly and need someone to drag in the mud to boost their social standing. Their usually cowards which is why they talk behind people's back. Easiest way to get rid of them is to confront them directly and physically fight them. Then they become afraid of you and will leave you alone. While your bully is overt this much more difficult. Because they are physically attacking you repeatedly. Meaning that they're lashing out their anger on you. When this happens you should talk to your parents or talk to your teacher after class. Try and see if you can separate yourself from them as much as possible. Still don't be afraid to defend yourself most bully's are picking on you because they think you are weak and want to dominate you. So you've got to show strength.

These people who still make high school videos do it because they never progressed. They're 26 but they've never had to get a real job or do anything relatable to other 26 year olds, so they go back to the last shared experience they can draw from before they got vine famous or whatever.

Yeah, in middle school we had not so great gym teachers. I never heard of anybody who really liked them, we all just kinda felt “Meh” about her. Now, she knew I have asthma, and I also have an inhaler. One day, we were running the mile, and I felt my chest get tight. Like, I couldn’t breath very deep. So of course I stopped, and my friend was with me making sure I was alright. I stopped where the teachers could see me bent over, tryna breath. But they chose that moment to yell/tell us to pick a pace and stick to it. Of course, I felt targeted by that, so I kept running and never told them I was struggling to breath, because I didn’t want to make a fuss (I was mega self conscious) and I didn’t like them, so I didn’t feel comfortable talking to them much. So yeah, I had an asthma issue and felt like I had to keep running because the teachers put so much pressure on us not to duck it up…

In my gym class before I switched schools, the gym teacher: Forced us to run for hours around a horse paddock(we were in the middle of nowhere and didn’t have enough money for a track)in 35 +degrees celsious Refused to let me sprint less faster for hours while wearing a double layer mask soaked with sweat which caused me breathing problems When one of the kids fell into the electric horse fence, he refused to let him go to the nurse when his entire body was bright red and he was jerking and trembling all over, and told him to walk beside him for the whole class Let another boy stroke my butt and screamed at me for slapping him, then forced me for about a month to work in group work with him Made fun of my former friend with asthma Made us run and play hide and seek in chest-high nettles(the whole campus is covered with them) Screamed at me hard enough to give me a panic attack (I’m autistic) Would swear at us, but every teacher in my school would do that, so nobody cared Would need a large amount of convincing to be made to not let kids with sprains and broken bones not participate Taught us to do hurdles in a way we could really get hurt, and completely ignored the fact I’ve been going to the track with my record-breaking, gold medalist in hundreds of competitions, mom and she taught me stuff, namely how NOT to completely ruin your body by damaging your ligaments and muscles, or just straight-up not get hurt Would actively shame us and favour this one girl named Gally who did a bunch of sports, telling us we had to get out of the way and watch how SHE did everything because that was always the right way to do it implemented a quarantine fitness program that was literally meant for grown men trying to gain serious amounts of muscle mass in an extremely short amount of time, and gave a girl who’d apparently “got the best scores”, when she’d faked her phys ed papers before, in front of everyone and nobody cared, while when I spent hours of my life going through stuff my parents followed and had a really hard time enduring, not to mention that I was constantly in pain for WEEKS after that, And more Wanna know the funny part? That’s not even the worst teacher. He’s pretty average, according to the absolute madhouse of what happened at my old school from 6 th grade to mid-8th grade. I was homeschooled before that… Yeah that gave me a nasty surprise

Yep, literally came to the comments looking for this. I’ve had three chronic brain injuries and the gym teachers actively ignored my doctors’ notes. One of them purposely “lost” the notes so many times that I brought an extra copy in to the office and when he said “what doctor’s note? There isn’t one on file!” I told him there was one in the office. He was pissed. Both of the teachers who pulled this shit should not have been teaching. Not just for this reason either. I absolutely hated pe all throughout middle school and high school because they were so awful.
@justafigment66627 ай бұрын
The one part about Danny saying “We all had that one gym teacher that was physically abuse and made kids with crippling disabilities run the mile” actually hit home because it’s true… I’ve had a spine disease my entire life, for ten years I’d been going to the doctor asking them what was wrong with my back and only last year did they say “oh you have a disease and you need surgery fast”. Turns out I had stage four spondylolisthesis almost spondyloptosis, I got surgery last summer for it and am now recovering, but I cringe whenever I remember how I described my intense chronic pain to gym teachers or other teachers and they’d literally mock me for it. Saying it was because I was over weight and I need to exercise so it goes away, saying I was weak and lazy. Well guess what, exercise and stretching actually made the disease worse. And I wasn’t hurting because I was overweight, I’m overweight because I was in constant intense spinal pain. In short, the medical system in the USA is wack, and if you have chronic pain that for some reason others (even your parents and doctors and teachers and closest friends) think is made up because you’re “lazy”. Don’t listen to them. Keep fighting until someone finally listens to you. Sorry for the rant lol, thanks for reading.

To be fair, I legit did have a gym teacher in high school who didn't care if you physically couldn't run, she would just tell you to walk the mile instead. She was also the health teacher and she graded people on their family health history so if your family had poor health, she would fail you. I wrote a paper saying how I'm not telling her a damn thing about my family health. My parents even agreed though I didn't get it signed like my friends suggested after I arrived at school. Edit: She also wanted us to write a song about the bones in your body and to legit sing it. And because I'm not to sing in front of the entire class, I didnt do the assignment. I barely passed because I refused to do so many assignments I didn't agree with, which I had the support of my parents.

Danny is absolutely right that these aren’t relatable, but gym teachers can absolutely be physically and verbally absuive. One of my gym teachers: - refused kids being allowed their inhaler in class - would not accept doctor or parent notes - made people run at least one day of the week which caused several issues and would not let kids stop for anything (ie. A kid threw up, one fell and twisted their ankle) - ignored kids cat-calling and making derogatory remarks at other running groups - pulled me aside and told me the reason I was having trouble breathing was because I was fat and she expected me to loose weight - showed special treatment for her volleyball kids

I had a gym teacher like this. I had just gotten my period for the second time so I didn't know to expect it. He wouldn't let me go to the nurse to get a pad and new clothes. He made me keep running while blood ran down my legs and boys laughed at me. He was also obese and couldn’t do a push up but shamed kids if they couldn't do one or if they couldn't run fast enough

My stepsister's gym teacher didn't let her go to the nurse in class, which on its own seems bad, but it gets so much worse once you know that she's a type 1 diabetic.

12:06 Its funny cause my school and our rival's relationship was like super toxic. There was a lot of bullying explained by the fact that they're one school seperated in two buildings : a big one and a smaller/cheaper one. Also, the rivalery was happening every wednesday pm since they mixed up the two schools to do activities "together". Pretty wild for an elementary school.

Right? I've been doing deep dives into this channel, and I commented about "Farmer in the Dell" one day because of how loud and jarring it was. Then a minute later I saw the video where he explained it and I thought about how sick that remix of "Mr Sandman" is. But at least we got "This Video is Over Now" out of the mess

My middle school PE teacher refused to accept my doctor note, my doctor phone call, and my multiple mom visits trying to get me out of running the mile because I had significant tendon damage in my knees. The teacher just didn't believe I could have so much damage so young. So yeah, that was actually super relatable for me. I know this video is 5 years old but I'm chronically ill/disabled and watch Danny on bad pain days and that moment hit extra hard this time.

I don’t think they’re actually pandering to high schoolers, but rather middle schoolers. I know when I was in middle school I used to watch and read and lot of stuff like this and I eventually really expected it to be real. High schoolers don’t believe that this is for them but middle schoolers and elementary school kids have no other reference because these youtubers only use common cliches. I still have this nagging feeling, even when I’m in school, that I’m not really in a high school because i don’t have a friend that is Buffy or because I’m not bullied by a senior. It’s easy for them to make these videos for views not reality. Plus high schoolers know what bad KZbin looks like.

Ah, that explains why those videos even have views. There are a lot of bad TV dramas about college that I used to watch as a kid (they were pretty popular among kids my age) later I got to know college wasn't about making friends and having a good time.
