I appreciate the solo filmmaker approach, the ownership over a project, the sense of accomplishment... but man there's just something about being a part of something collectively like this. I just started working as DoP on small low budget short films, which I end up also editing so I can build experience in the full filmmaking process. The true mental challenge comes in right after your last shoot day. It's tough but I aspire to reach the point to make and document my first feature as you have done. One step at a time!

3 years ago i got my first sony camera and was researching how to make a moody scene and i came across your channel . I decided to emulate almost everything you do to my best ability and this week I'll be finishing my first narrative short film and i plan to follow your steps and advice when it comes to releasing it. I love your Solo Documentary Film Making, that's what drew me into your channel. I would love to see you marry your Documentary Cinematography/Film Making with your Narrative Work. You have been inspiring to me in your film making career and one thing you had said after making ISIS is that you were influenced by too many people who told you what you needed to do to make a feature length film and that a feature length film is just like 5 short films combined. I think for me in my next film making adventures I'm trying to figure out for myself "My Way" of film making instead of "The Way" I've been learning in film school and online. Keep it up, and thanks for the inspiration!!!

Listen Danny, it’s just so inspiring. I have the profile of a solo filmmaker like you for certain projects, but I also work on small productions with tiny teams as a director… And what you’re doing here is just so interesting and motivating. But I have to admit, it also discourages me. It makes me want to do something similar with my own project, but it seems so unimaginable, so hard to reach.
