I just love how the Hero and Villain have more of a sexual relationship, meanwhile Phillip and Connor are more sweet and romantic. Then there’s the recurring gag of Phillip trying to encourage Hero and Villain to be more open about their relationship, Connor being content with watching on the sidelines while the two have their dramatic make out sessions, and of course Villain being casually supportive of Connor and Phillip’s relationship while Hero is just left dumbfounded.

This has needlessly reawakened my memory of a hero villain story I thought up a while ago, and I love it. Basis: There's a world where the hero organization has worked so well that crime has fallen dramatically. Two friends who dream of becoming heroes together realize they might not ever have a chance because they just aren't needed anymore. Friend A decides to make Friend B's dream a reality - by becoming a supervillain so heroes are still needed. The story starts several years later. Friend A has become a supervillain just like they planned, and Friend B has become the greatest hero and Friend A's nemesis, thwarting every plan. One day, one of Friend A's schemes succeeds. Disastrously. It was never supposed to. But now, there's no taking it back.

@Harmony 🎶 I'm glad you like it! I've actually started the work of making it into a webcomic (which will be under the name Mysty Nyx) though no title for it yet. Here's some more information: The world the story takes place in is a steampunk, fantasy, Alice in Wonderland inspired place. The villain, Alice, is a hime (anime princess) archetype, though much of it is an act for her villainy. She has the ability to create and control lasers, which she has used to create an army of small robots she calls her tweedles. The hero is Ches (cheshire cat) who uses a pocket watch to manipulate time to make it seem like she's teleporting everywhere. She teases Alice relentlessly, even calling her sweetheart to antagonize her, but holds some resentment towards her becoming a villain and breaking their promise. I haven't decided on the scheme that succeeds when it shouldn't have, but I do have some working character designs! I'll make another comment here in the future when I start posting the chapters.
