Excellent review of this product, I m so glad this company had you review it, the breakdown and specs are impressive and you do such a great job getting to the point and showing what people actually want to know about a product. Now Garmin needs to step up and send you some of there products to review. As always excellent content and awesome video.

@@DanRichardFishing Thank you for the kind wishes, same to you and your family. The video was awesome, can’t believe I watched the whole video about a battery…I know, I haven’t posted anything in months, I think a sadness cloud has been hanging out over my house…haha…can you create a video on how to get rid of it.

Hope you guys like the review. My first cut of this video was over an hour long!! I tried my best to cut it down as much as possible to around 30 minutes, which I still think is pretty long but I wanted to cover every aspect of this battery as it was my first ever Lithium and I was excited to try it. Would love your feedback on the review, should I do more like this (field testing, tear-down etc) and was it too long or just right? Love you guys!

Excellent review! On and off use of the trolling motor, how long do you think it would last?
@georgesmith30742 жыл бұрын
If I understood correctly from this video, this battery on be connected as a starting battery as well as being used with my trolling motor (same time) Can it be charged from my outboard if need be while fishing using my trolling motor?

Do this LiLead battery vs a MillerTech battery :D That would be good to see

Do you know what will be the price of the battery? Thank you!
@DanRichardFishing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, the S110 will be around $950 USD, depending one where the cost of container shipping and all that is at, right now costs of everything are going NUTS! Now if you don't need a dual purpose battery and just want a deep cycle battery for your trolling motor, LiLead is also coming out with a D105 model that will be about $400. The big difference between the S110 and the D105 is that the D105 won't be able to serve up the higher amperage pulls from heavier equipment like bow thrusters or starting large outboards. But it's perfect for your trolling motor, RVs etc.

Hi Dan, This battery was not upgraded with two anchor points at each side, was it? I could see only one on the friction bar?
@leewiles30753 жыл бұрын
Hey Dan , I understand it's a dual purpose battery, but are they suggesting it be used primary for deep cycle? Reason I ask, I have a small skiff that's going to need a new cranking battery and it was be nice to replace it with a smaller, lighter one that can go longer between charging and still have the cranking power I need. Thanks in advance for your response.
@DanRichardFishing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lee, you can absolutely use it for either application, it's a true hybrid dual purpose battery. The real difference is the BMS is designed to handle both and hence why it's more expensive. The cells themselves are the same whether it's a deep cycle or a dual purpose starter (in the case of this lithium brand). In my case, I will be getting 3 of these... 1 for my starting battery and electronics, and another 2 for my 24v trolling motor :)

The Mercury while running is charging right ?
@DanRichardFishing2 жыл бұрын
That's correct, the motors alternator is charging the main battery.
@steveodonnell29212 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking of going to a 24 volt trolling motor only because the battery starts to drain way faster than I want especially in windy conditions on my 12 volt motor. According to your excellent test the lithium battery seems to last a lot longer. Is that true or should I get 5he 24 volt and be done with it?
@DanRichardFishing2 жыл бұрын
What size if your boat and yes, I found not only did the Lithium last longer, but it provided more power than a VRLA could as the charge level dropped. It's night and day as far as I'm concerned. With that said, what kind of boat do you have? I wouldn't use a 12v on anything bigger than a 14 foot jon boat.

Great review, I have been running a deep cycle marine battery on a 44 year old 2 stroke motor no problem as a starter and running a music head unit and basic lights. I bought a 2022 Suzuki Df25 and I’m thinking I could use this battery as a replacement for remote electric start and the same electronics. Any advice on if this will work and also how do you keep these batteries charged in the winter? Can I attach the same trickle charger I used before? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you thank you thank you

Nicely done! Could you post the specs? thanks.
@DanRichardFishing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason, you can find the specs to the Gen 1 version at us.amazon.com/LiFePO4-dual-purpose-starting-Batteries-Activities/dp/B094VQ44H8 and the new Gen 2 coming out in a couple of months will have pretty much the same specs except that it can be wired both parallel and in series and will include additional hardware and the improved case. Thanks!

Nice review! How do I know if I buy gen1 or gen2? Is it printed on the case or the box?
@DanRichardFishing3 жыл бұрын
Great question Robin! So it is likely the new one will be listed as Gen 2 however the new case will have different decals on it. The case I am using has the Gen 1 decals on it, the new case has totally different decals that have more silver on them. I'll post about them when they become available :)

Bion we

Salut Hugo ! For anyone seeing this and would like to see what was asked, Hugo is looking to upgrade batteries for his Lund and is working on making a decision for a Lithium battery company. He asked specifically how many charge cycles the battery is rated for, which is a great question. Here is my answer: It can be a challenge because there are more and more batteries coming out, but definitely the difference with lithium is massive! LiFePO4 batteries are good for 2500 to 3000 full 100% cycles so figure around 4000 - 5000 partial cycles are you likely won't drain the battery to 0% in a single day. The LiLead is rated for 2500 full cycles. I'll continue to test this battery and use it to see how it performs over the next year or so, but so far I've been using if for 2 months and it's been awesome!

Whoa what the heck?!?! I just checked the video and yeah the sound is totally messed up right at 22:24 and it's making weird sounds! First time I notice that or that someone mentions it, I have no idea why. You can actually see the voltage on the monitor fluctuate and you can see the battery shaking - that's from starting it. I'll see if I can re-upload that part and link to it, very weird. But yeah, it starts it no problem. I'll see if I can dig up the clip... EDIT - I just checked the original video file I uploaded and it's messed up on that too. So it must have screwed up when I rendered it and I never noticed it :( The worst part is after I post a video, I delete all the original raw footage because I don't have room to store it all. Sorry about that, but yeah it definitely started it up no problem (check my other videos, I am not afraid to show disasters in my videos lol!).

Hi Brian, everything I saw in my battery was good, with brand name top grade cells and a solid BMS (That's why I opened it to see what was inside). The only thing that I thought sucked was the weak anchor points for the friction bar, which was fixed in the new generation coming out this winter. I'm looking forward to using this battery all season long in my boat!
