I know this vid is 3 years old but I have a question not covered in your video. I'm hearing the lithium can't be run with a 24 or 36 volt TM wide open and must be kept under 80%. Thoughts/ comments Thanks

I run my 24v TM full tilt all the time for hours for the last seasons with zero issues. Honestly this is the first I've ever heard of it, kind of sounds made up and then repeated a bit too often tbh.

Weird he thinks a lithium battery comparable to ones he has 800$. Try 200$ 100ah lithium no clue why guy thinks 800$ lithium equivalent to the 80$ one he has.

When wired in series could I hook up my sound system to the + and - on the same battery that is being used for the trolling motor??

just add a wire between the trolling motor battery and the outboard battery with a 1amp fuse inline. Fixed my interference problem with an XI5 and my garmin. And the garmin interference free now.

You mean to tell me you changed the power trim, and you don't change your own oil and filter? Are you kidding me?

@@michaelmcdonough7946 because I never just changed the oil and filter. Anytime I service my engine I do a full winterization including oil, filter, fuel filters, impeller change, fogging and a few other things. And I do these things when winter hits so I can't do it outside in the snow and there's no room in the garage to do this kind of work.

what size fuse does an outlet like that require? isn't 14 awg a little overkill for that draw? seems like a 16 or 18 would do?

I guess because they are warranting it they change so many parts that are probably unnecessary. I mean mine works fine but has a leak. I see the piston can be resealed myself easily. Not sure if my resevoir is leaking but aren't simple seals/gaskets available for that if needed? $700 is crazy for such a simple rebuild on an item that is not used that much and with o-ring seals should not get worn.

First off, there is no reason to use a swivel for Pike or Muskie fishing. Tie the fluorocarbon to your main line braid with an FG knot, and that knot you showed it far too complicated to tie on a snap. I use a 4 turn uni for that, and it has NEVER failed me. I can put a new leader on in just a few minutes with my 80lb Yo-Zuri pink leader. This leaves the minimal amount of crap on your line and is as strong or stronger than the setup you use. I have caught hundreds of big Pike and Muskies on this setup. I also do use the same Dou-Lock type snap you use, and I have had some big Pike totally destroy them, but I have not found a snap I like better so far.

@@FishNFoolLures literally every top musky guide I know uses leaders with swivels, what are you on about? You shouldn't be using an FG on 80 to 120 pound fluoro and you're using crap hardware if big fish are scraping your snaps. There's no reason not to use this setup, WAY faster than retying knots in zero degree weather and tournaments or with clients. Happy your way works for you, but doesn't make other more efficient methods invalid.

I'm struggling a little bit, I dont run an electric trolling motor and don't have an electric start outboard. I do have some spotlights, nav lights, anchor light, interior lights, and a bilge pump, and I'm finding it difficult to decide on a battery.

Geniune Hero8 battery expanded, 2nd geniune battery was not expanded at all, tried using it but it still froze on me on 5second mark of recording. Tried a third party battery. Namely TELESIN, currently on 30mins of recording while writting this comment.

Wanting to switch trolling batts to lifepo4, but can find no info on using them in winter.... sitting in the boat overnight, they will definitely drop below freezing, but I need them to work WELL possibly before the temp gets above freezing. Anyone have first hand experience with this?

At about 9:00 minutes in, you said the bolts were opposite. They are right hand thread ( they remive by turning them counter clock wise) but they are upside down from your view at the back of the boat. If you were to lie down, looking up at the bolt heads, you would see that they are still "lefty loosey, righty tighty. Just be glad yours weren't seized in place. I jyst spent about a week working, tapping with a small hammer, heating and soaking mine in penetrating oil. ...I didnt want to be lieing on my back drilling and tapping a broken one.

I have Hero7 Black v1.90 firmware and it freezes often. GoPro has not improved the software since Nov. 25, 2019. Some people have suggested SanDisk Extreme Pro microSD 256GB memory card might have an issue. I reformatted the memory card but issues continue.

I'm pretty sure you can charge batteries that are connected in series with just one charger, but that charger will have to match the total voltage. So if you have 2 batteries, 12v each, connected in series - then you can use a 24v charger to charge them both at the same time. This is pretty much how battery pack in my ebike works - 10 sections, 3.7v each, connected in series, gives 37v in total, so you charge that battery pack with a single 37v charger.

@@fernandog.1575 if you got him in series you're probably 24 volts to the starter so yeah that's not good. You want those batteries to be in parallel. You did this once or you've been doing it all season?

@ pretty much I just bought the boat without me noticing that until now. And somehow one of those batteries is swollen like balloon on the positive side I’m even scared to unplug the old battery wires. I’m thinking on redoing the whole electric wiring but I don’t even know where to start. I literally opened the electric panel, looked at the spaghetti of wires, closed it and walked out… How is it that these people had the batteries is series to crank the engine? My boat has 4 batteries 2 12v to run the electronics and 2 12v in series to crank the engine. Could that also be the problem if my engine doesn’t burn the diesel adequately? I see some diesel on the water when my inboard engine is on.
