To those wondering why Imperious was clapped so fast by Diablo; this isnt just Diablo. Originally the 7 evils were one super evil and the 5 archangels were one super angel. But the originals fought and killed each other causing them to split into the forms we know now. Normally Imperious couldnt even defeat normal Diablo on his own, let alone an uber Diablo. What Imperious should have done was gathered/freed whatever angels he could and gone at Diablo as a united force but he was always the most arrogant being in heaven and granted even with all the other angels they most likely wouldve been smacked, maybe coulda just held out a little longer. At the time no archangel really knew where he was as he was waiting to get the black Soulstone, giggling in the dark, because he could just steal everyone's hard earned victory and commit a mass genocide to celebrate that fact. Inarius was cast out of the high heavens and even if he was in the high heavens in the end he wouldn't have cooperated with the nephalem. He has a thicker stick stuck up his ass then inarius, which is quite an achievement. Neither auriel nor itherael carry a lot of martial prowess + at the time auriel was captured by a demon and the nephalem had to free her. Tyrael is a human and would've been useless tbh so that just leaves inarius. And he's a loser as well. Respectively

I only watch the cinematic and lore videos on KZbin about Diablo but never actually played it, and to be honest the lore is very weak compared to StarCraft and Warcraft for example. What’s the point of fighting if the demons can just respawn again and again. Also the angels are actually pretty darn stupid, it seems like every decision they make is bad. Like why not help out humans, no they leave them to defend against hell by themselves. It seems like in the game diablo there is no true good only evil, because even the angels are blinded by there own light.

When an angel dies, another one is made by the Crystal Arch to replenish their numbers. Killing angels isn't rare. Droves of low tier angels die constantly in the Eternal Conflict. The angels we see in cinematics and such are archangels, who are meant to be equal in strength to the lesser and prime evils of hell.

Before the Burning hells and Heaven Anu was the original being the "Sum of Everything" only when he extracted the evil parts of himself and discarded it did he unknowingly create Tathamet the first Prime Evil. They battled each other but were evenly matched being exactly one half of the Sum of everything, only when they both killed each other did the creation of heaven and hell start. Angels spawned from the Spine of Anu while Tathamet's body turn into the burning hells and his head spawning the 7 lords of hell. This explains why hell was always stronger than Heaven because the Hells is the half of everything that was evil while the Heavens was only a part of Anu. the only reason for the Eternal Conflict was that whenever the demons are close to winning they would fight amongst themselves to claim the biggest loot. The World stone is also the Eye of Anu hence there could be two world stones. Soul stones were fragments of the world stone hence its ability to trap souls as the world stone can literally create entire worlds like Sanctuary. This is also the reason why the Nephalem were such a threat because they were born from the joining of rebel groups of Angels and Demons who stole the world stone to create and hide in Sanctuary. This means they were closer to the form of the Original being, Anu the Sum of Everything hence their overwhelming strength even against Primevil diablo who had the power of all 7 Lords of hell or Malthael who absorbed hundred of thousands of souls to become the Angel of Death. Only reason humans exist was that Inarius used the world stone to weaken the Nephalem eventually creating humans that have little power, while banishing Lilith. These two were the leaders of the rebel group of Demons and Angels. When Tyrael shattered the world stone he broke that adjustment that limited the Nephalem which gave way to the strongest Nephalem coming into existance again. Also the reason Imperius got clapped was that Diablo had all 7 souls of the Lords of Hell which allowed him to become the Primevil overpowering Imperius. With a united hell and a divided heaven they easily breached the Shining heaven's gate which is why the Nephalem was called to help.

technically god is dead. Anu(technically the closest thing to God in diablo) was the sum of all thing: the good the bad and the ugly; however Anu didn't want to represent evil so he separated good (him) and bad. However the evil became a whole new entity called tathamet, the two fought until they both died. from Anu the heavens were born, tathamet corpse became hell and the scars they left in their battles became Pandemonium

The definition of God is that upon which all things depend for their existence, so if there is no God then no thing would exist. Because the players need to be important in these games, plain and simple. If the angels could handle things themselves, there would be no need for mortal human players to confront the demons. In the games, the angels get beaten but in lore there has always been an ongoing conflict which is infinite - both sides keep winning and losing infinitely without a definite winner. Out of Imperious, Inarius, and Tyrael I believe Tyrael is the only one I haven't seen getting beaten that bad. In D2 when Diablo was trying to free Baal in Tal Rasha's tomb, he was distracted and Marius freed Baal and he was unable to take on 2 prime evils by himself. And let's not forget, the Prime Evils were imprisoned within soulstones for a very long time, so they were defeated, temporarily.

So even though all the BS that Blizzard has gone through I can never fault the Art and cinematic teams they always knock it out of the park, sometimes the story may be rubbish I’m looking at you BFA and the management team may make some of the dumbest decisions known to human kind but that’s never a reflection on the art teams. I just hope that now the studio has changed hands that it becomes something I will be proud of been part of, no matter how dark it may get I always keep the door open with the hope it will get better.
