Not just that. Consoles will be able to use the curated mods. Sure, 'basket of clothes' mod won't make it (maybe if the mod maker makes a console version, or maybe the SFW or safe for work version) But useful things, quality of life stuff (looking at you, 'fireproof Karlach mod' lol)

True. When people think of modding alot of people think of Bethesda Skyrim specifically and the modding tools won't be as nearly dynamic as those. You won't be able to write your own quests for example or change existing ones. You won't be able to build new structures for example and a lot of other stuff you would see in Skyrim. Or so that is what I believe. it is disappointing. Imagine if you could go to the selunite cloister that apparently is under siege near Baldurs Gate. That someone could make a mod that allowed you to go there and assist them before you went to Baldurs Gate. Well you can't make that mod because it would break the game flow even though you could make mods like that for Skyrim. I don't really see the modding tools add much that modders haven't already achieved.

All I want is a romantic scene with Minthara that does not require me to slaughter a bunch of people. Not to mention, said scene is hugely diminished by the fact that Minthara, during that time, is still under the control of the Absolute and does not have full agency of her own actions. There needs to be something there for her romance, just like every other companion has.

They have an opportunity to do a origin story for her too, run it from her point of view moving from moonrise to the grove, purhaps running into the durge and let it play out from there. Perhaps the artifact allows her to go through the "good" direction and not kill the grove, or maybe she just chooses the glory and returns after sacking it. Who knows! Lots of potential though

Plus my durge ending didn’t even include her when I was roleplaying taking over the world w her, and she talked about it a lot. @@DukeDanseMacambre You can already romance Minthara without killing the grove a while ago, just knock her unconscious and she’ll show up at moonrise like usual, save her and add her to your party; then all it is from there is to raise her approval high enough until you trigger a dialogue where she asks you to show her what you see her as in your mind. If you choose to see her as a lover than she’ll reciprocate and you can start a relationship, if you’re already in one you can break the other one off or be be a sleez bag and cheat on them a bit with Minthara; Bam you’re now in a monogamous relationship with everyone’s favourite Drow Mommy

I chose durge as a first time player and genuinely wanted them to be a paragon of good will but once they got a taste of power in Act 2 with power over the goblins end my character went down a very dark path being consumed by hunger. It was awsome!

I almost always play as an evil, sneaky MC, and even when I try to do an "goodie two shoes" walkthrough I just get bored and start new game as Lawful or Neutral Evil, Chaotic Neural at best. I really don't see why so many players are so opposed to being bad. BG3 is the only RPG, aside from like DA Origins, where I can make some truly evil acts, but while the Warden was still mostly driven by good, BG3 actually allows you to be self-serving, ruthless and manipulative villain, and it's SO refreshing and unusual, when game after game you have to walk around with a halo over your head. You are given such a unique opportunity to play as a villain, and you still choose the most boring, good guy run you see in every game? Not for me.

the biggest thing I wish they add is a Ignore coin weight feature because it sucks that you have a lot of gold saved up only to have it weighed down and you can't carry anything else when you have other items that could or should be useful later on in your playthrough idk it's an opinion of mine and I feel like that would be a great feature

That 'Photo Mode' is a thing I really look forward to. I can't use the Steam function properly. For some reason it just don't work for me. So, right now I am using *Print Screen' in Window, save the game and launch Photoshop to paste into, save the picture and start BG3 again. A lot of time used on this. And then you can't even be sure if you captured the right moment. A REAL cool Photo Mode would allow you to 'scroll' a few millisecs backward and forward. Like the cutscene when you travel to Grymforge the first time. There's a real cool artistic moment when your character has the back to you and slowly turn around to see the duegar boat arriving. Kind of an ancient Egyptian posture seen from the back. It looks awesome! One of these moments when time stands still. I capture it every time I do this trip. But I don't always grab the exact moment I hoped for (ah,well, getting old and slow...).

But I also guess it depends on how the game engine works. The engine has to be able to remember the graphics shown for a few seconds (having them available to be rendered again).

Local co-op isn't usually a thing anymore. But historically, from my recollection if you share the same screen, there's usually a limit of how far you can be from your partner. If it's a split screen, you usually have more freedom, but you only have your part of the screen...

It's strange that they don't mention having recruited both Minthara and Halsin would get fixes... It's clear they were intended to be mutually exclusive, but they still made it simpler to recruit both in a "good" playthrough, but the game still seems VERY confused about what to do with them at camp and during the levelup screen, where having both recruited at once, sometimes results in them only showing up as a floating head! At camp, they just seem to randomly get assigned a tent, which often tends to be the same tent... So half the time, Halsin and Minthara are just sharing a tent when i recruit both of them, because the game looks to be built around a certain arrangement of tents during camp, and they never fully solved the overlap of Minthara and Halsin...

My favourite is in Act 2 when Minthara evicts Halsin from his own tent but can't stand in front of hers because Oliver is there, so she just becomes part of her table instead. Oliver hangs around her awkwardly and they try to ignore each others' existences, and Halsin proceeds to hobo his way around the entire camp for the rest of the game Despite there being a random blue half-tent that no one eve does anything with that I can recall Once in awhile Halsin spawns right next to Minthara and Oliver, and it looks like a bizarre adopted family scene

I personally think Durgetash is a pile of hot steaming garbage and I hate how annoying its fans are and their attempts to force it into the Durge character sheet. I can look at Astarion, Gale, and Halsin and go "Yeah, I can understand why women would be attracted to that guy", but Gortash? The washed up FF villain reject who forced one of the nicest characters in the game to experience a decade of literal hell and does shit like torture and bomb children? Won't ever get it. Larian made a mistake by acknowledging it at all.

The character is an irredeemable piece of shit, essentially. You can't really _genuinely_ like a person like this, unless you have similar issues. As a person, who is very close to Karlach in values and worldview and who romanced her on the first playthrough, I'd never forgive Gortash for anything he's done and for what he is.

This is huge! So nice to see them continuing to add QoL features and also brand new stuff. What I really hope we get in the future is a better inventory sorting, as well the search bar inside containers too (bags, crates, barrels, chests), and also being able to organize items by rarity and weapon / armor type.

While I love they are improving the game, I'm still confused, why: 1) there is no "merge all" or "merge selected" - doing it manually sucks, 2) there is no way to make the abilities bar even bigger, because on some classes, it's too small, because you have too many abilities.

I heard nothing about fixing getting quest out of order that can not be finished. For example. If you go to the goblin camp first before exploring the grove you can meet and kill Princess Gut. Then when you go to the grove you pick up a quest to find Princess Gut and seek her help. Problem is - you’ve already meet her and killed her. There are tons of bugs like this in the game that revolve around getting quests out of order and there’s no way to resolve them when you do.

Mods coming to ps5 is suprisingly knowing how Sony gets down- I really hope they can get the subclasses to port over, one thing that I’ve been FEENING for is for bg3 to get new subclasses, and since it seems like Larian is done making new content for the most part, also just because the handful of time I played D&D I played using subclasses that aren’t in the game and those were really fun classes!

@user-mu8dm4rk7g While the GPU would be the biggest upgrade, leaks suggest the CPU and RAM will also run faster. The PS5 version of BG3 has Quality and Performance mode. I'd imagine it could have a Pro mode that runs Performance mode with Quality mode graphics. I like how you say "Tell me" like the condescending prick you probably are.

Tbh I did kind of like during the ascendant kiss scenes where your character looked visibly scared and then really pissed off, atleast for my durge anyway. cause it felt like he traded in one master (Bhaal) for another one, and through the facial expressions showed the consequences of that. My physical PS5 version finally came in the mail yesterday 😄. And I spent 6 hours playing the game straight with about an hour being in the character creator😂. I don't usually spend more than 10 minutes in character creation. I'm pretty simple when it comes to that stuff but BG3 had so much stuff I had to go through lmao. Great game so far. Already in my top five RPGs of all time. The other ones are the Mass Effect trilogy, Dragon Age Origins, The Witcher 3 and if you count it as an RPG BioShock.

I reported a game-breaking bug that’s stopping me from advancing my main play through before it’s fixed, I’m not seeing the fix here but I hope it ends up in the final like the dev I messaged said it would. I’ve been waiting for a few months now. The bug is the one where Jahira and the harpers will turn hostile on you for no reason (some suggest it happens if they take any AOE damage, even not from you) after the first boss rush at moonrise tower. There’s not even a “pay your way out of it” or “get knocked out by them”, you just have to kill all of them or knock them all out and get way worse reputations with them or have a game over.

I really hope they finally fix arcane trickster it worked in beta but has been broken since launch and I really don't understand why they would do things like "fixing" kiss animations before that. (The trailer they showed for the "fixed" version still had Shadowheart rubbing her bare teeth on the side of your player model's face 🤦) I love the game but the fact one subclass is completely unplayable because its main gimmick doesn't function- being able to use mage hand to pick locks and and pockets, something that worked in a earlier version of the game is one of the reasons the game sometimes feels unfinished to me

I wish they will fix up the dialogue with Halsin and Minthara they cut from the game when they are both at camp. Halsin will doubt and such but you can persuade him to not leave.

I think I’m an anti combined split screen. It takes away control from the second player and can be awkward when it suddenly snaps away. Just keep it constantly split.

When my husband and I first got the game (on PC) we wanted to play together on the split screen, it was ok, it wasn't great by any means 🤷🏼‍♀️. But the update will surely help out with it! The only problem that occurred fully was when one of us was talking to a character, (for example) My husband would talk to Shadowheart, and then I had to watch it off of his side of the screen. What made it worse was that when I talked to Shadowheart after he did, she would ask and say the same things 🤦🏼‍♀️. Also if you tried to join the conversation while one of us was talking, it would shut down my (or his) controller and I couldn't move 😡. (Ha-ha yes I know we were playing it on the controller, but we had to cause we used our TV as the screen. Also news flash, if you don't have a really big boy tv, then it was super hard to read and see all the stuff that was going on in the game.) Now I'm not sure if the update has fixed it, but if so that's awesome 👍🏼.

Can you do a tutorial on playing split screen on PC in 2024? Include things like multi-monitor setup and using keyboard and mouse. Most the things I find when searching are dated and either do not work or heavily bugged. I have used nvidia control panel to span displays for a multi screen experience and I have attempted to use a couple of different emulators for keyboard and mouse. I wish either Larian or a modder would fix these issues.

IMHO they need to fix AAstarion period, and make it more neutral and with more room for roleplaying. Currently, we have this slave/master dynamics which just gives fuel to Spawn fans that keep bullying Ascendant fans because they can't fathom that we may have different imagination, different roleplay and headcanon. And don't even get me started on the game (and the community) thinking that *the only* reason we Ascend him is because we don't pay attention to his story or treat him like sexy vampire dom daddy. It can be the case for some, but others, myself included, look at the world PRAGMATICALLY. I am fully aware that Spawn is the most "therapeutic" ending where he tries to "heal" (but then again, I have no idea how one is supposed to "heal" living all his immortal life in one of the most dangerous places in the universe, forever scared of sun and remaining a slave to hunger, but ok) but a lot of others think pragmatically and rationally, and ascend him because this is the most *reasonable* choice that makes him both safe and powerful.That's it. The dialogue options with AAstarion are so piss-poor, not only making him sound like Disney villain, but also making my MC some lustful Harley Quinn wannabe, which completely ruins how I picture their dynamics and why I ascended him in the first place. Not for hot vampire daddy.

I couldn't agree more, I have a special place in my heart for ascended Astarion as that is the route I took on my first play-through for the reasons that I didn't feel having him ascended really justified a bad ending. I get that they were trying to have an “end the cycle of abuse” storyline with spawn Astarion but it could have been done better because choosing to sacrifice 7,000 ravenous feral vampire spawn who we believed would off Astarion next chance they get from Sebastian’s interaction with him, sacrifice his vampire spawn siblings who it's implied bullied him all the time by the way they speak to him and having him ascend would mean he could live life on his terms (in the sun) instead of with the curse of traditional vampirism that Cazador gave him seemed like the better option for him to heal. The Spawn ending is really bittersweet if you think about it, yes we get softy Astarion but he had to give up what he wanted most to save people who were kinda awful. With the feral vampire spawn and his vampire step-siblings, I don’t know if they even deserved to be saved, yes Sebastian sends a nice letter to you at the epilogue but what about all 6,999 other vicious vampire spawn? And we hear nothing from his evil vampire step-siblings. I agree his Ascended storyline needs work. I am very glad they are fixing his kiss animations though as I was very upset when I saw what we got for him in the Valentine's Day patch, only one new kiss for spawn Astarion and the rest for his ascended route which felt like a complete rewrite of his character, making him more evil but cartoonishly so.

I wish they would add some bromance and plutonic scenes. Im not really drawn to any of the current companions to want to romance any of them, and I think it would be nice to have some hang out scenes. I also wish they would do dlc. A nice bug adventure centered around hags like ethel's sisters would he cool IMO, but i still say Ethel was a better villain than any of the others on offer.

Some things Larian MUST do before moving to another RPG. 1. Give Paladins the ability to have deities. Oathbreakers should also be allowed to pick an evil deity. 2. Get rid of that error where there is only a or option when there is supposed to be options to choose from. 3. Make Bugbears, Hobgoblins, and Goblins a playable race. Also give Bugbears tails. I recommend one being a bear tail and the other being a monkey like one. 4. Put Karlach on the launcher and loading screen. Also give us the ability to customize our launcher. Like we can choose which character we wanna see on there or all of them. 5. Let us use lines back at our companions. Like when Karlach says she wants to ride you till you see stars you can say the same line back to her when it's finally time to do the naughty and so on. 6. Fix their long rest bug. 7. After sex scenes we should just get a scene of Tav and their partner sleeping together till morning. It's so fucking weird to have a sex scene then it cuts to everyone around the campfire. 8. A "Let's Go to Bed" long rest option for Tav and their partner instead of the usual around the campfire one. You can also choose whether you wanna be a the big spoon or little spoon each time. 9. Get rid of the cutting off of dialogue that happens when someone talks. 10. Let the Tollhouse that Zariel's minions are in be burned to the ground after Karlach's rampage. 11. Give the guys a third body type that's taller and more muscular. Like Halsin's body type but a tad taller. I wanna look down at him LOL. 12. Make the Dragonborn's breath weapon the bonus action it's supposed to be. 13. Make it so your tadpole power tab doesn't come up if we've never consumed any tadpoles or have taken advantage of it's power. 14. Fix that weird thing that happens when the background goes dark and so does your teeth as well as your piercings. 15: More Colors For Dragonborn. Also Hair and Beard Options. 16. Fix this weird glitch where the game just skips the full animation. 17. Fix these weird animation skips during cutscenes. 18. Add Bottom Beards to ALL races. 19. Allow up to make Checks to see if we've crossed paths with companions who have the same background and/or came from the same place as us. 20. Give us the ability to fix Karlach's engine our selves since the DLC isn't gonna happen anymore. Let the Gondians do it if save them. 21. Stop the tadpole powers menu from coming up after we've freed Minthara from Moonrise for those of us that haven't collected, eaten. or used the tadpole at all. 22. Beef up the height and muscles of the Dragonborn and Half Orcs. Give them Halsin's body type. 23. FIX THE ENDINGS! It's such a huge kick in the nuts that we and our companions HAVE to turn into Mindflayers or trust one that could be a fucking problem down the line. Give us a good ending where we stop the Netherbrain, no one transforms, Orpheus lives, and the Emperor is nothing but a pile of ash!
