That exit was amazing! Poem had me close to tears, like he said it would be fire, it definitely was. I feel as though most white people who decide to have black partners (then children)will fight for the right to say nigga before they fight for a black persons right to live. If only white people fought as hard to become a part of ending racism, it started and needs to end with them. When entering a relationship with a person of color you cant be "colorblind" because doing that pushes their struggles under the carpet and denies their ongoing oppression. Stevie wonder may be blind but he's FELT his color his whole life. Pick up the slack.
