The director's cut did feature a longer fight in the park with Matt & Elektra so while this cut doesn't mention her martial arts history at least the fight gives us a hint at her skill level. Thanks MT & Paul!!!

In the theatrical cut; Karen Page is there but unnamed, still gives Matt the card saying "your ears must have been burning" After the park fight scene Elektra stalks matt and they talk while walking down the street "watch your step" "wait how did you do that, and the park?" I remember going to see this in a theater as a huge Daredevil fan at the time. A friend, who was big into Spider-man, asked how it was and I said you're either going to love it, or you're going to hate it... or you're going to think it's ok. He saw it and thought it was ok, not understanding my reference. Here we are, over 20 years later, still picking apart comic and fantasy/scifi movies and shows. NERDS FOR LIFE! 🤓

Only tourists and posers think this movie is bad. Anyone who read Frank Miller's 5 issue "the man without fear" run knows this movie stuck to source way more than almost anything else before or since (Watchmen, 300, and Sin City are exceptions here, natch).

HUGE DD fan. Had been collecting and reading comics for awhile, he was probably my favorite when this came out. But no. It wasn't as bad as people think, especially once you watch the Director's Cut, but even at the time they got A LOT wrong. Don't disparage people just for disagreeing with you.

I recently watched this movie, and the "sensory deprivation tank reminced me of the coffins of Dracula in old Dracula movies. And it also reminded me of the Bacta tanks in Star Wars, where the injured heroes and villains immerse in a healing Bacta fluid.

I would love to see Jennifer Gardner cameo for a multiverse shenanigans storyline. I think she actually did great with what she was given to work with for DD and for her solo movie.
