But when you talk about the parodies and mockery trash that a bunch of nobodies and disresentful old bags ex wife's made up trashing the old man's legacy... WE HATE IT !😠!........... Obvious difference a side, feels like if you toke serious a mockery version of the Tora writhed by the na&^%zzy. What the F do you spent!!??🤷🤷 ..

Ang Lee is a genius. Loved this movie. Best Hulk period. IDK why they make the Hulk so weak in the MCU. This Hulk would kick the shit out of Thanos, he would just getting larger and larger until he was large enough to stomp Thanos to dust.

This has been my favorite heavy spoiler video in a long time! Your humor is spot on!!! Ang Lee’s Hulk is severely underrated! Saw it in theatres and have loved it since. The comic book style editing is so fun and hasn’t been replicated yet. It was way too adult for all us kids who just watched Spider-man the previous year, i remember it feeling too slow and artsy. But wayching it as an adult, its HANDS down the best Hulk movie. It really captures the sadness of the Hulk. The pain he endured is his power but also makes him depressed. Last battle where, all he does is give his power to his dad, for his dad to immediately not wanting it because it came with all the pain and sadness, genius

@rubensalvador94224 ай бұрын
Thank you MT for this loving breakdown. I remember watching this movie with my brother in theater and actually loving it, even with some of its faults. I have to point out a couple of things though. Joe Johnston did do a comic book movie (the Rocketeer) in 1991, which is most likely why got the gig for Captain America First Avenger. Another thing that you touched upon is that Bruce does bring forth the heroic aspects to the Hulk. This is akin to the 616 comics, where Bruce acts selflessly to push a young guy out of harms way, exposing himself to the radiation, like in this movie. I believe that 1610 comics Bruce Banner, David Banner (dad from this movie), and the 2008 Incredible Hulk Bruce take from the 70s TV show, where that David Banner acts more selfishly to improve on himself for one reason or another and tests upon himself. Remember in the TV show Bruce was trying to bring forth the Adrenalin that comes to people during stressful and harrowing events, which he lacked when his wife died in a car accident (survivor's guilt). I personally prefer the 616 version (selfless) versus the 1610 version (selfish), which I felt this movie brilliantly showcased, yet respecting and played tribute to the TV version with Bruce's dad.

I think the only problem this film had, was like that of the Star Trek pilot. The audience felt is was too cerebral. The narrative was slow and the action panels were cumbersome. I loved it. Then again I felt the Incredible Hulk film was a pseudo sequel. It felt good to see this, and I still visit it.

When they capture Hulk and take him underground to Arizona base, that is a direct nod to a two part TV episode where Hulk was captured. They transported him on a semi truck under a big steel dome, then eventually took him underground where he inevitably escaped overpowering a huge hydrolic door. The two part TV episodes was called Prometheus.

I remember back when this film first came out. I was in my 2nd year of college. My suitemate and I were SO psyched to see this! (Our individual roommates didn't care). We eagerly sat through the first 30 minutes, growing more and more bored by the moment. It was a very exposition heavy, very _introspective_ movie. Not something we were expecting (or particularly _wanted)_ to see. 😕 We were also confused with the massive size of this Hulk. He was RIDICULOUSLY big. Like, COMICALLY big. We weren't the biggest fans, and left disappointed. That was 20 years ago. I'd love to sit down and give this film a second chance, just to see if my opinion on it will change.
