I lost my father when I was 5, I lost my mother when I was 21, I graduated from University and I was in Lagos for 3years, no job, no food, no place to stay. I would sleep wherever the night catches me, life was extremely tough and I almost lost it, I hated my existence, I questioned God everyday.... I cried under blanket all night when no one sees me. Just when I said to myself I’m done with it all, this awesome God stepped in.... (hmmmmm...Sobssss!). I got a job I never had in mind, he turned my life around, today I am married to a lovely woman with 3 wonderful children, all living in America(not that America is everything but to tell you that our God can take you where you never ever imagined). Imagine if someone told me everything will be alright and they will be what they are today, I would have said forget it, nothing good can ever come out it. But then God is still God no matter what! Darey, did you see the journey of my life to make this song? please tell me... bcos right now I can't explain how it all happened, perhaps God himself prayed for me, Heaven answered me.... (Sobsss!) A couple of people asked what it means or it should have ended with him being successful. well let me explain, when he was leaving home his father did not want him to leave and when he would not listen he told him you are on your own. Lost my dad when i was 6, grew up in poverty. My mother would work in other people`s maize fields just to make sure that we got food and clothes. I remember crying the other day when we were planting maize for someone just to get the money for my first laptop, the sun was scotching, we were thirsty and hungry . Never gets old!! Without any exaggerations, I cry EVERY SINGLE TIME I listen to this song. Reminds me of how my sisters and I watched my mom breathe her last in the hospital, after suffering kidney complications for months. My sisters were in UNI, they somehow felt this push to come back home that very day... We met at the hospital coincidentally that fateful evening without having any plans of meeting there, or informing each other that we'd visit her that day, just a wild coincidence. Apparently, her spirit was calling for her children to see her one last time... (SOBS!) We prayed, we cried, we sang and worshipped, and as we worshipped in those last few minutes, she struggled one last time, and her suffering in this world ended, leaving us all alone, confused, sad, without any direction or clues as to what lies ahead... we were so much younger, confused and broken, terrified of how the future would be without our backbone and comfort... My world literally crumbled, my dad lost his job exactly one month after her death, and it's been a tussle for the past 9 years. How I managed to go through school, I don't know... it's been, God. I miss her every day. This song makes me feel like there was more I could have done, but also lets me understand that we must suffer pain to grow.. this was my pain... I'm not living my best life now, at least not yet, but I know things can only get better from here on. DAREY, GOD BLESS YOU FOR THIS! Thank you!!!!

Writing to encourage someone, life is never easy and its easy to lose the way. early this year I was in the dark, a graduate working for company that stresses me. The hate and love feelings I have for this song.... I left home (for the second time) with my parents shedding tears, held each other's hands wile I knelt in the middle as they both prayed for me. I remember the one thing my father said was "I hope and pray this would not be the last time we would see". He hugged me again and another round of tears. I assured them that I would not let them down. It was a rough and tough journey, but my father encouraged and supported me in a huge way. April 1, 2015 shortly before my parents were supposed to come for my graduation, my Father passed away in the middle of late night prayers. I have not been able to put myself together to totally believe that my father is no more. To God be the Glory, his prayers are getting answered and I can see clearly that it could only have been God answering my father's prayer. How I wish he lived to see the manifestation of his prayers but I know he is looking down smiling and being very proud of his son. I shed tears as I type this. Thank you Dad for your prayers. I miss you a whole lot and if there is anything possible to do to see you one more time, Dad I will do. I will. I wish you were here to witness these days you longed and prayed. If you can read this dad, just in case you can. I love you and I won't stop loving you. Your boy is fine and always proud of you.

Its been 5years now since I was dismissed from the military and about that time this song was out and I heard it inside my cell once or twice ...when I got out I downloaded it and listened to it I cried bitterly even now in 2021 I am typing this and am still crying bitterly because when I got home I felt rejected from everyone but it didn't stop me from having faith in God ,I went back to school came out with 2.1 it didn't end there I became a bit famous due to some gigs I had after modelling activities now look at me I run an International logistics company named WHALES LOGISTICS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED but I know it's still won't end there and that God has more in stock for me ....this song still stands my motivation till forever

Mom and dad were killed and tomorrow 9.09.2022 will be exactly 6 months since they went to heaven. Before they died things have always been pretty difficult with my family. Today I travelled for the first time abroad. It feels like I had broken the family curse or something. After watching this video, I can only but comprehend and appreciate. I think just like Dareys' dad, my mom and dad died cuz they had to reach heaven to open the all closed doors so my crops too can shoot, sprout and grow.

Reminds me of the day I left home as a young new graduate moving to a foreign country on my own! I had decided, I am an African and Africa is my home, wherever I'm going i'll find fellow Africans, and so I did! 20 years later, I've got a beautiful wife, two cute little boys and God has been great! Darey I've always said is a powerful singer from his days at Idols! Gifted son of Africa, singing with my favourite Soweto gospel Choir, with my favourite African actor playing his 'dad' in the vid! Few years ago, I was the only child to my parents (mom was heavily pregnant). One night nigga chased us out claiming his mom (my grandmother told him my mom was a witch), he walked kilometres to my mom's friend. Mom and I went back to her village, stayed with her grandmother. Life was a mirage, we had nothing. The only clothes we had were the ones we were wearing, No money (You need money to survive in South Africa). Long story short: Im now pursuing my 3rd degree, my mom got remarried to an amazing man. My younger brother is going to Secondary school. With my parents divorcing, My mom scored over 6 million rands in settlements. Aint that GOD doing HIS works❤

As the last boy with 5 elderly siblings. I left home in Nigeria at 22 years old. My father prayed for me. And the journey began. Its now 23 years ago. I faced many walls, climbed mountains, swam many waters in a foreign land. Daddy's gone since 8 years ago but his voice and prayers never stopped propelling me forward each time I get to crossed roads of life.
