I do not remember me telling to look before bigbang for the origin of Dark matter. Dark matter is still a concept used to explain some weird behaviours seen in the universe. Like the speed of revolution of stars in the outermost parts of the galaxy and the powerful lensing effect shown by distant galaxies, that could not be explained by normal matter seen in the galaxy. There are a few other phenomenons also explained by the presence of dark matter. But Until a particle of dark matter is really observed, we cannot 100 % confirm the dark matter concept. There are attempts to explain these two phenomenons using MOND or modified newtonian dynamics. But still unsuccessful. If your daughter is doing her PHd in dark matter, sure she will be knowing a lot more about dark matter than me. I may have oversimplified the topic a bit or may not have touched some complicated points in my video. But I maximum try to avoid making statements contradicting the known facts. If still some slips have happened please mention. I shall correct. ( My intention is just to simplify things that i know so that people can understand. I do not claim that I am an expert in any of the subject I speak about. I am not doing these videos to demonstrate my knowledge. The experts in the field generally do not do such videos in simple language for common people . Somebody has to do it. So I am doing what I can, to inform people about such topics. That is all.
