I'm glad you mentioned the downthrow with the jab reset, I watched another video and they only did a falling nair, I think throwing will be much easier to do

Landing up air can actually confirm into almost anything. It can be up tilt, up smash, neutral air, up air, screw attack and for some heavies, it can even follow into charge shot or a grab. For lighter characters such as Pichu, it's actually better to follow up with a full hop neutral air, since even the weak hits of up air will launch him too high.
