I'll say so. He ALWAYS cracks me up, and I think that's what Beth loved most about him. But I also like watching him "grow up" after he's afflicted with the curse. His whole outlook on life is dramatically transformed and he becomes a better person because of all it. Only Barnabas makes a more dramatic character transformation over the course of the series, from creepy predatory vampire to heroic and selfless protagonist, zipping across time to SAVE THE WORLD!

This show is pure classic.I used to watch it new, after school.Quentin is very handsome.I remember when he turned into a werewolf.He and Barnabas hated each other.I preferred the modern eps, the ones when the current cast traveled to the past was complicated because the current era people became their ancestors.I think a seance made them all flip back to the 1700's in some eps.I liked the ghost of Barnabas' s sister,Sarah, in modern times.She played with the boy David, and wore a dustcap.Normally the show took place in the years it was made, late 1960's onward.I thought Burke Devlin was good looking, and Joe.I liked Victoria Winters, and Elizabeth Collins.The movie The House of Dark Shadows, my family and I saw it at the drivein, when newly released.1971, I think.

David Selby played Abe Lincoln at New Salem State Park in Illinois before he got his role on Dark Shadows. My mom worked there during the summers and got to know him a little over the few years he was there. She said he was always quite nice and polite.

Quentin wasn't pure evil or a monster, but this was clearly a sign of his dark side he needed to get past, a dark side that in the original timeline tormented his own descendants to the point of David's demise. He could be saved, just took Barnabas going to hell and back for him.

​@@ethelhoose1196 Quentin was created because Jonathan Frid wanted a Brake he was on TV so much as Barnabas he was getting tired so he asked Dan Curtis and the writers to create a new character to come in and take over for a bit so he could get some rest. he was aware Barnabas was popular but he needed a brake....so Quentin was created and they did the Quentin's Ghost storyline

After Barnabas, Quentin was by far the best character on the show. He had the best attitude, posture, memorable lines (and could say them better than anyone). Never could stand the Laura/Penix story line though, boring and never went anywhere interesting.

I wasn't born when they started making dark shadows but I've watched every one of the episodes and I watch them sometimes when I get bored but I think Quinton is gorgeous where was a funny charming good looking man like him when I started dating. It was never satisfactorily explained why Quentin wanted to kill David but David is Laura's son as well as her great-grandson. She had him by her grandson Roger, whom she married.

Jamison turned his back on Quentin when Beth almost committed suicide because she found out he was marrying Angelique. That happened just before he was killed. Even in death he was consumed by Jamison, the only person he ever loved. Quentin saw in David the reincarnation of Jamison and saw it as his chance to get him back since the real Jamison had already died in the 1940s.

it was but they changed it, my problem is over the last 3 years they go back over the same loop, all the way to dr. lang in color when barnabas in color then back to black and white as if they dn't realize fans are actually watching and want continuation! i contacted, maybe more of us should do the same at decades!
