Living in the Scottish Borders have visited Hermitage many times. It has a brooding atmosphere for sure, it’s an intimidating structure and I always feel uneasy inside or up close it. Looking forward to hearing this one!

Your impeccable use of visuals is brilliant. The gaping maw of the castle in a darkened sky really emphasizes its brutal past. You don’t just make videos, you make entire events drawing us in to the experience of those historic times. You certainly know how to weave a story into life. Bravo! 🏴 💙🏴💙🏴💙🏴💙🏴💙

A superb mix of history and a touch of paranormal thrown in. Shame the average Scott would rather be ruled by England than be independent Wallace, and the other freedom fighter would be ashamed of Scotland today.

I also find it very strange, that they were so envious of their own countrymen. But, it is by far the most interesting history ever, in the whole world. The Scots never showed any respect to their kings, or queens.

I sent you a story of my own experience at Seton Colligiate church- it was peaceful but unsettling. On that same trip when we stopped at Hermitage, I couldn’t help but feel a deep rooted feeling of unease. As if the very core of me was moved by something. I have visited many castles and ruins, but few have made me feel as sombre as Hermitage.

Roxburghe Castle, ruins on the outskirts of Kelso. Now we have Floors Castle, occupied by the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe. Black Dougles was resident at Springwood Estate, outskirts of Kelso. There is a Mausoleum there. I wonder if they are connected in any way. Again, many thanks for the new knowledge I now have. 💯💯💯💯💯💯❤️
