@Age Of Plankton also for us (the player character) our driving force is to complete to game whether kindling the fire, leaving it to fizzle out, turning into a Lord of Hollows or helping create a new painted world ; we always have had a goal in mind. For one to go fully hollow is to either lose sight of their goal or complete it . For us the game is over after completing the game. Thats why we can constantly respawn and yet others we kill will not. Their death from our hands makes them lose sight of their goal
@VGamingJunkie
@VGamingJunkie 3 жыл бұрын
@Julio Cesar I went with the path of her going hollow, for one simple reason. This way, she (I'm a male Ashen One) can get justice on the monster that claimed the lives of so many and bring about closure for both herself and Horace. Being a slave is no way to live, as a hollow or as your puppet. I told her where Horace was after killing his hollowed form and then I killed her hollow form that was next to the memorial she made of him. May they both rest peacefully.

I like that hawkwood is essentially the anti-crestfallen warrior from dark souls 1. Both the crestfallen warrior and hawkwood had essentially given up when we meet them. Both of them are cynical and scoff at others attempts to claim greatness. But the difference comes what they did when they do see someone suceed. When the crestfallen warrior in DS1 realises that you indeed suceeded where he and others failed, he realises his cynism and apathy just made him look even more useless than before and just gives in to depair and goes hollow. Hawkwood however realises that all that cynism was misguided and it its time he just gets up and does something about his situation and starts striving towards a better fate. People always talks about Dark souls series as depressing and hopeless. But i love these stories about undeads that fights for a purpose in a bleak world. Thats what being human is all about after all.
@varsoonhks3211
@varsoonhks3211 5 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? Crestfallen Warrior doesn't give in to despair--he decides he's sick of Frampt and he's going to do something about it. His literal last words to you are "Maybe it's time I do something about it… " He clearly hollowed in New Londo, which reflects that he moved from his spot. Had he just 'given in to despair', you would likely find in him Firelink Shrine. Both Hawkwood and Crestfallen get up to do something they believe in and both fail due to their weakness. Hawkwood is certainly more noble, though Crestfallen Warrior's ire towards the Kingseeker serpent is interesting. This is the same snake that's extolled you as some great chosen one--maybe Crestfallen sees through the so-called Kingseeker's plots, just as he was keen on so many other aspects of what was happening around him.

I know your comment is old but the dark souls world is depressing but so many others are to warhammer fantasy and 40k stories of great empires that have fallen or are falling, either stuck in one place while slowly crumbling to dust and its all because of some human emotion greed, arrogance and so on. On the other hand we read and listen to the stories of the people who would not give up and fought and fight on in an endless fight that noone sees an end to but they fight on and on and on for something they desire a dream or perhaps just the hope of a better future has they face impossible ods.

The thing that always gets me with Hawkwood... his cynicism is correct it seems. Just look at the good, proper ending of the game. You do it. You defeat the lords of cinder, you defeat the soul of cinder, you actually link the fire... and the flame barely crackles any higher or brighter. Compare that to Dark Souls 1 where the entire room was rapidly engulfed in a blazing flame of magnificence. All of that, all of it... for what? Delaying the inevitable by a few more hours? A few more days maybe?
@JesusRuiz-gb4is
@JesusRuiz-gb4is 3 жыл бұрын
It is truly is a sham a lie no other could see that but hawkwood managed to after knowing how even a lord of cinder a mighty Legend could fall so easy it made him truly think about the gods and how much they are worth in a grand scheme of thing's i mean gwyn for example gave his life but in onder to keep that fire going he had tell the biggest lie of them all that the fire is worth keeping around but it simply isn't the case the age of man was coming but gwyn never let that area came and so we have the undead curse its the area forcing its way until there is nothing left to keep it from pushing then it will truly be nature running as it should hints why the hollow ending everyone there is bowing like they know where they are at and doing because there minds are there now its not a husk just humans prashing the one whom finally broke the cycle

So the poor man Hawkwood, faced many nightmares and failed misrabley. So when he saw that as an Ash, we must return the lords to thier seat. Guy trembled at the thought that a mere ash puts down a legend. he thought they had plot armor. But he knew it was dark souls, no one is safe. No one can escape the curse of fate. So he grew some balls and just sought to seek dragonship(Which he will later regret because dragon form in this game is abysmal and shit). This story reminds me of myself when I 1st played the dark souls franchise. Is Hawkwood the representation of a player who died alot, then Got Gud?

I always believe that bloodborne and the "dreaming" hunters are just people from what the current usurped world of dark souls. After all, aldrich's visions are very accurate. The new painted world is borne from Gael's blood tainted by the dark souls. The inhabitants also transform into monsters based on emotions much like how the abyss corrupts and how ariandels painted world rotted. Paleblood = blood tained with the light soul. At least to me. Funny. Dark soul is about the sun and bloodborne is about the moon.
