Dark Souls but with Robots.

I'm back! So, last video I said I was in an "ancient first-person shooter kind of mood" or something, but it's been a minute since then so I've moved onto bigger and better things. SOULSLIKES! That's right, the most talked-about and divisive genre of games is now on my radar BIG TIME so prepare to see a bunch of souls-y junk on the channel. That includes a continuation of this playthrough, and more outdated reviews of once-popular games.
On another note, I'm also planning on spending more time reviewing ACTUALLY interesting games, i.e. really old and weird console-exclusives that are stuck on the platform they released on. I really just pursue whatever I want whenever and 1 in every 30 projects actually materializes on the channel. I used to hate my cycle of playing/recording games, writing a script, narrating, and then getting to the editing stage just to scrap it. But now I've come to terms with it and I really really really just wanna have fun and not think so much.
All that to say, I'm gonna be WAY more relaxed about uploads which means MORE uploads. So if you liked this vid stick around. Sub or like or whatever idc.

Joke's on you, you beat Pax the wrong way and got the weaker version of his weapon. Aside from that, great video. If you need any advice for the Surge, feel free to ask, I'm glad people are still playing this game.

@@DansComputer Right so, there's two ways to kill every boss. Doing the "special" gets you better rewards and a stronger weapon. For Pax, the normal way is to hit his legs until the orange bar is full, after that he starts shooting homing missiles. Normally you run under him to make him shoot himself and drop to the ground. The special way is to dodge those missiles and hit his legs until the armour falls off, once his armour is gone, bait out the stomp attack and hit him mid-stomp, this will open him up to be damaged. Before you ask, no, this is never explained in-game and Pax isn't even the most complicated boss in this regard.

@@DansComputer The crab is a lot easier, just cut off his legs before destroying the head. His weapon is great, it lets you do back flips and works like a flamethrower.

you should play the second even if you dont like this one too much. Battery allows you to charge your injectables in the second game without a implant, and in general its way better than the first mechanically. also its much more interesting than the first IMO.
