It’s so Sad and Dark about this Alternate Universe is that whatever Goes Wrong, it goes Wrong! Like the Avengers were Killed by the U.S army, the Fantastic Four died in the Spaceship Crash, and the X-Men are Being Locked up in Cages for the reasons of being “The Freaks”

I enjoyed Ruins. It's negative escape fantasy, it's made to be so shitty it makes you feel better about your life and about the regular comic universe. It's main theme is my favorite type of grimdark “Things should not be this way”

This world is in no way realistic. Ruins is an extreme misery porn parody of the comic series Marvels, which is also told through Phil Sheldon's eyes. And also, Fury is only evil because Captain America of this earth apparently introduced him to cannibalism.
