The music you play in your video's is that Zapryan's. What other player are out there that have your sound or something like John Stockman?
@lumpinator7 жыл бұрын
nice video! :) one general thing about EQs when using a pedal like this: you should definitely use the pedal's EQ instead the one on your bass if there is any because it's set after the distortion circuit. so if you use your instrument's EQ, it changes what frequencies are saturated more instead of actually changing their volumes because the distotion circuit will compress what is fed into it. it will change the frequencies' volumes of the clean signal however. but if blending with the distorted signal, using the pedal's EQ will get you a way better result imho.
@lavenderw76172 жыл бұрын
I have the ultra version and a 3 band boos/cut eq on my bass and it actually helps using the bass eq instead of the pedal eq and visa versa. Both achieve different effects

Pedal sounds really good, I bet it would also be really good for 8 - 9 string extended range guitars too. I'm gonna have to try one out. I play a BTB 6 string, and a Schecter 6 string.. and have had a hard time with distortion pedals squeezing the low end right out of my signal. Same goes, but to a lesser degree with my guitar (RG 8) Great chops in your demo.. got you a sub \,,/ \,,/

Hi Lubo, what strings do you use? My budget is tight and I'm looking for good value for money: strings that sound good and last long Any advice?
@lubo2260 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I normally use the Thomann Harley Benton HQ Set. The standard set is fine too but tends to sound dull after a while. It's certainly the best budget friendly string I've used.

@lubo22607 жыл бұрын
Fysy998 good to know! I wanted to present the pedal in a full band context since this is what it was made for I guess. I understand that everyone has different listening preferences but as long as the balance is not completely off I'm happy. thanks for watching.

What gauge do you use? I Find sterlings very weak and flobby on the low B and maybe it's a gauge problem
@lubo22606 жыл бұрын
I use 45-135, but a weak 5th string can definitely be a problem in some basses. I've played affordable & pricy basses with good & bad low B strings respectively. So in my experience it's mostly a construction thing. It's definitely something to look out for when buying a new instrument.
@Henry-pj1td6 жыл бұрын
@@lubo2260 Do you think that a bigger gauge like a 145 or more can solve the problem?
@lubo22606 жыл бұрын
yeah try a 135 with a couple of good windings around the machine head. This increases the tension on the nut and helps with resonance. Hope this works for you man.
