Yes, I know Bush came before Obama. Listen to what I said in the video. "A decade before Obama". Who was president a decade before Obama? Clinton-era policies affected the GFC. Clinton deregulated. Bush failed to correct the issue during his tenure, but Clinton put pen to paper. The whole point is that a president can do things that have effects many years later and that not everything is the fault of the current president.

Reagan wanted to get rid of it completely but was stopped. Don't cast him as a moderate. That being said, let me cast him as one, lol. On the one issue he was. He was the last president to give amnesty to people and naturalize those here working and law-abiding. Neither Bush, nor Clinton or Obama, Trump or Biden, have done it since, this gifting immigration as the perpetual cause to rally the right behind...real....really smart there liberals. But then, liberals ARE right wing, and a conservative party, they just won't admit it to themselves. They're liberal with the market (ie less regulation, lassiaz faire) and socially conciliatory, meaning they'll accept social change (to stay in power) but only after protests and violence or a threat to the hegemony arises. Which we've seen play out over every issue since 1981. That isn't noble in my opinion. That's sleeze and corruption, with toxic relationship levels of gaslighting, manipulation, and the rest of the plethora abuses all synergized as a political party. Hand in hand with their financiers, the corporations. The American liberal is merely fascism-lite; fascism being the marriage of gov and corp at its heart.

People don’t get the role of retailers in inflation. If you lack the self-control to keep it in your pants, then condoms, birth control, or finding a man of the basest semblance of quality that won't pump and dump and will actually support you and the child can also prevent the issue. Even public education taught me that. If you're have to walk alone in a dangerous neighborhood, get yourself a taser or pistol; and if where you live won't let you have them while criminals can, you're smart enough to figure out why it's so dangerous. If men are going to act like wild animals, treat them like wild animals. The alternative is pulling a little Sharia Law where women don't go out without the supervision of a strong man, for their own safety. If all of that personal responsibility fails, then we can have the legislation that provides exceptions for victims. Cuz I hate to break it to all of you, but if you want men to do literally everything for you, that's not gender equality, that's the desire to be a stay-at-home mom that can live off of a single income.

According to google AI: "In America, 92% of the population still listens to radio every week, approximately 272 million people. This is ahead of the 87% that consume television on a weekly basis and far beyond the 22% who listen to podcasts weekly." This means: This channel and others like it, are simply not reaching enough voters. 99.9% of free local talk radio is very Right-leaning. All the MAGAs I know, parrot the talking points of local talk radio hosts that they listen to going to and from work and on the job. (note; this is in RI-MA, not TX-AL) Air America radio gave us 2 terms of Obama. The end of AAR gave us trump. This is no coincidence. The problems we face are that the public doesn't understand the basic differences between Democratic and Republican policies and agendas and how those actually affect us. Too many don't even understand how our system of government works. We had the overall better policies and a fantastic candidate. Ads were not enough to understand this. The Left and Center needs to unite and bring back AAR. Note: Public radio is not enough. They spend way too much time on esoteric discussions that are far beyond the average voter's interest. Air America Radio was 24/7 simple right-left policy comparison.

Instead of their own direct pragmatic self-interest. What will be good for them & theirs. The net result of voting on individual pragmatic self-interest would be better for everyone, & probably help outcomes look more democratic. Meaning the policies & laws will reflect the will of the majority, not just who sits in the various political seats. It would accomplish this, in part, by keeping politicians focused on the pragmatic self-interests of their constitutents, rather than them being mostly about abstractions, ideals, culture war issues, & emotional rhetoric. We've also gotten to the point where cheerleading for democracy as some kind of abstract ideal is killing democracy. Democracy, again, *means* that government (the policies & the laws) reflect or represent the will of the people. Government, not who sits in government. People forget that the most cherished things in democratic societies are anti-democratic. Safe guards / guard rails that are constitutionally (& hopefully culturally) enshrined, that limit democracy, that prevent it from turning into the tyranny of the majority. Freedom of speech is incredible & awesome; we have the first amendment to keep a majority from voting to restrict the speech they find unpopular, for instance. All the talk about the wonders of democracy from so many, & not one honest mention or analysis of how democratic the nation really is. We can do that. There are international indices measuring how democratic nations are. The US ranks fairly low in these indices. These indices are ranked by comparing the actual policies, laws, & general governance to the policies, laws, governance styles that are popular with a majority of the electorate. By this basic standard, that is just what democracy *means* & is *intended to do*, the US has not been very democratic for a while. Even in the right & conservative leaning Fox News polls, Medicare-For-All shows majority support. Poll all Americans, & it has overwhelming popular support. & yet, it has never been put to a vote in Congress, even if only to get politicians on the record about it. I could mention other big discrepancies between actual policy & which policies are popular with majorities. There are many of them. In a majority of policies & in law, it's not much different than if the actual policies were inversely proportional to their popularity among the majority of Americans. Then there's the specific emphasis of the Democratic party on civility & decorum. Those things are pressure cookers for discontent, fear, pain, rage, & hate. I voted for Harris. Because I forced myself to overlook that disgusting & dangerous (& contrary to human nature) attitude. & not because I necessarily saw Trump has "evil" or the "end of democracy." But because there were at least a few specific policies & positions of his that I recognized were against the pragmatic self-interest of myself & my loved ones. Trans issues & economic policy, mostly. It saddens me to predict this, but this election will likely make the Democratic party move further to the right (which they will call being centrist). The majority of Democrat politicians today are functionally identical to 1980s Reagan Republicans, but with some different rhetoric, & a few commitments to culture war issues that have just become part of their brand, & that the politicians themselves mostly just virtue signal about, but don't really care about when you look at their actions. Because moving to the right is what the Democrats have done for decades, whenever they have to "learn" from a particularly bad electoral loss. I honestly believe top Democratic party leaders would rather a Trump presidency than a leftist, progressive Democrat candidate, like Bernie Sanders, or others with similar politics. They kind of have almost openly said that at times in the past. Hey, I really hope I'm wrong! I'm just going based on a lot of past behavior. & that politicians (esp at the federal level), regardless of party or stated politics, are virtually always the lowest form of human life our country has to offer. Basically, sentient dumpster fires that just happen to look like humans. & that's on the American electorate. You can't blame a dumpster fire for being a dumpster fire. If the scorpion dooms you both because you trusted it, that's on you.

@26th_Primarch Are you sure you're not just thinking about their small, internally loathed leftist / progressive wing? Look at the actual policies, esp economic policies, of mainstream Democratic politicians. The only thing that *seems* lefty about them is their rhetoric. The things they promote that are concrete are already pretty right wing. Remember, when Obama came into office with Dem majorities in both houses of Congress, a freaking mandate, & the best he could do his rip off a Republican health care plan that was a gift & a love letter to health insurance corporations? In what *concrete* ways do you think they are left? Not their words, not their tone, not their brand-based positions on some culture war social issues. The real nitty gritty. I'm honestly asking. Maybe you're right, but I can't think of how they're left in real ways, other than by contrast to the right. & yeah, in terms of the values that they virtue signal that they "totally" care about. But those aren't real unless they translate into policy with concrete results.

I have made a similar point to people with regards to deficit spending. Inflation takes between 18-24 months to really manifest in the economy. There is a significant delay. The initial inflation people experienced in the early stages of Biden's presidency were the result of spending decisions by Trump at the end of his first term. The inflation we will experience in the beginning of Trump's second term will be the result of actions taken by Biden at the end of his. And we won't feel the full weight of Trump's economic decisions until well into the following presidency. Trump wants to lower rates and print, which will weaken the dollar tremendously, ushering in even more substantial inflation than we experienced under Biden. Things will seem good at first, but then the honeymoon will be over and most of the people who loved Trump will hate him before the end. Everyone who hated Trump from the beginning will finally be able to gloat, though they won't understand the truer mechanism of Trump's failure. Their hatred will still be based on personal bias instead of legitimate comprehension.

I don't like either side, but it seems like it's a lot simpler than this. I am inclined to think that the majority of people do not understand economics and many people who voted for Trump do not necessarily support him or his views. The left, including the majority of mainstream media (which a lot of people do not trust, for good reason), was squandered by their own identity politics, without a doubt. When you pander to minority groups and alienate the majority, you will get a minority vote. The fact that people didn't see this coming is absolutely mind boggling and I'm inclined to call it willful ignorance. In many cases it blatantly is. Some might be surprised at how many people voted for a group they dislike over a group that they know hates them, but they shouldn't be. Some people even voted in a way that could cause their own family members to be deported, that should tell you something.
