We've seen very little developments on the darknet this week. Typically the rush for news and events is tue, or wends, and it's been crickets. We are looking at trying to record an episode today, and I'm trying to have a turn around of today or early tomorrow, which will be very difficult to do. The audio alone has to be went through idividually on both sides at least once, then again together, timed right, then the video edited.

Great episode! I appreciate the way you dive in depth with topics. When you talked about the different variations around breaking the laws and the fact it’s an online market so they will charge you for having a large customer base. Such a missed point! I see this for IRL dealers where they’ve been charged and they are only a small, local estate dealer so they get a slap on the wrist. Then you get a full county distributor who gets 10+ years. So if you jump into the DNM scene you’ve basically jumped up the ladder and can be classed as a large scale distributor?… Very insightful point you made there

i2p sounds nice. Unfortunate reality is that US military and cousins have all the resources in the world. They probably control over 90% of relevant infra if not 99%. Onion network has like 12 hundred exit nodes. If they had to lease AWS VMs for that it might cost them around 1-2 millions per year. Not much for the military and involved orgs/agencies, and they probably don't have to use AWS.

I don't think it makes sense to estimate the cost this way. Amazon has to make a profit so it's more expensive than if the government did It. They don't have to be profitable and can have a contract with most US companies. But maybe you're right and it will cost that much for some reason.

I know you speak of running a tor relay, somewhere just after 30:00 min mark and it's easy to set up. However, what stops me from doing it is, what if that's someone's exit node and does something really bad, and then i get the blame or authorities knocking on my door? That's something that scares the living hell out of me :P If that feeling could be eased down, I'd feel much safer running a TOR node ^^

Just checked and found this for the US: Federal Regulations (in the U.S.): Under the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), cardholders' liability for unauthorized charges is limited to $50. However, if the fraud is reported before any charges are made, the cardholder has zero liability. Many credit card issuers waive this $50 liability, providing full protection as long as the fraud is reported in a timely manner.

I had write or rewrite all of my subtitles, and I translate them into 16 different languages. I always delete the 'auto captions' that YT makes. This must be a bug as they came back. I went and deleted them again, but have no clue if it will hold.
