Hello, my Imaginary Friends! Tyler here with a quick addendum: Some viewers have expressed concern to me that this video does not properly explain how Apokolips (Darkseid's planet) seems to exist both inside our universe and outside of our universe, depending on the story. This was something I promised to address in the closing part of my previous video, and although I did run out of time on this one, I feel like I provided you with the tools to uncover the answer for yourself. But for those of you who don't like guessing, here it is: Darkseid's planet, Apokolips, exists _outside of reality_ just like he does! Meaning that it naturally emanates lesser copies of itself into lower realities just like everything else in his realm. The Apokolips you see _inside the universe_ is an emanation of true Apokolips just like each universe's Darkseid is an emanation of the true Darkseid! Cool stuff, right? And they are called "emanations," not "avatars." Darkseid's "avatars" are just _even weaker_ clones that each emanation of Darkseid is capable of making, and they run errands for him when he needs to be in two places at once. Ya know, that's a very good point I hadn't considered before. It would account for the fact that the only entity prophecied to kill Darkseid someday is his own son, Orion. Not Superman. It can't possibly be Superman because the character who is the ultimate good would not remain the ultimate good afterwards if he killed. In fact, he would only be on his way to becoming more like Darkseid if he did. Since Orion is his son, he already is like Darkseid in the first place. He's been wrestling with his duality his entire life. Therefore, it wouldn't break the laws Jack Kirby established of Fourth World Platonic archetypes if it's Orion who is Darkseid's executioner whenever they meet in final battle . It also fits nicely into similar real life religious principles that are prophecied. Such as Thor and the World Serpent in Norse mythology. We even see it in Christian-Biblical lore as well. In Christian lore, it is Saint Michael who ultimately defeats Satan in battle at the End of Days because he's a lower ranking angel in the Heavenly hierarchy. It is Michael who is prophecied to triumph over Satan since Lucifer's deadly sin is his Pride. God will use one of his lesser creations to defeat the devil for no other reason than he has more humility than Lucifer. Who better to humble a warrior seraphim who once deluded himself into believing he'd become his divine creator's equal? Think about it... If God himself is who fights Satan at the End of Days, he would only be validating Lucifer's belief that he was indeed his equal since it obviously requires the power of the Infinite to stop him. Thus, it must be an underling who vanquishes the braggart instead. Thanks for pointing this out. That one statement you just made opened up other avenues of exploration in my mind that I hadn't realized I was ignoring.

Western religion think of God a single being and an entity, in the Advaita Vedanta of Hinduism, Esoteric Religions, Occult, etc. God is considered as everyone and everything, that the creator and creation is the same thing, the material or external reality is the manifestation of God in physical form to experience itself. In abrahamic religion, Jesus is considered as vehicle or character of God to interact with humanity, while in Hinduism there are beings considered as vehicles or avatars of God, and in Advaita Vedanta of Hinduism, everyone and everything is considered as part of God, manifestation of God, and God itself. Had an interesting conversation with my friend about Darkseid's true form vs other all powerful fictional gods like "The Scarlet king" from SCP and stuff like that. This video shows me that having insane base power isn't everything and that there is always more to it then that rather then just saying "My character can wipe out the multiverse!" so I'd say this is a very solid video. This is very interesting, Because in SCP. Concepts can also be beings too, like Darkseid. SCP-628 Is the concept of 'Hate'/Termination, One of the 13 Constants (This is part of The Admonition Canon). In SCP-6280, The Foundation wanted to kill SCP-628, How did they do this? Well, they tried removing hate, from the memory, of every human on earth. Of course, it doesn't go well. @@CalvinNoire I dislike day breaks because I think it's a tad over-rated but more importantly it claims it can disable all anomalies even though there is no confirmation of it actually being able to do so by the writers of the other SCP's. In other words, this event claims it'll somehow remove all other SCP's without the other SCP author's conscent which to me I find that to be a little stupid and also unfair on those writers. Like, the writer of SCP 457 for example, aka the burning man could say that when day breaks it wouldn't effect him and that'll be a fact that we'll have to accept since it'll be coming from the author of that scp respectively and therefor should be treated as factual. And then we have to consider that for like, all the other SCP's that exist which as you may know there are literally thousands of them so now you see why I find the whole "When day breaks" thing to be a load of bogus.

In a way yes but the abstract concepts always existed. In an absence of one thing. The chaos gods were created by humanity, eldar, pretty much any organism with some form of sentience and consciousness. To kill the chaos gods you have to kill all life. Also the chaos gods can't actually interact with anything around them because they are weak in the physical world. They have to manipulate other people in the physical world. hence horus heresy, chaos space marines, the entire eldar.

Wow man. Great two part series. That is the most thorough and in depth look into the character and cosmic, or beyond cosmic, side of DC comics I have ever seen. Love that you went beyond just the basic comic drivel and arguments, and you drew upon the writers and their inspirations. Nobidy ever got Darkseid completely right after Kirby. His Darkseid was not a deceiver. He did many other wrongs but he always voiced the truth. His purpose as a character was to represent literally the dark truths in life. Sometimes he appeared in stories just to give key commentary to the reader. Kirby used him not just as a villain but also as a mouthpiece sometimes.

It was a very specific chain of events, that lead to it. Though it would be possible if to kill Darkseid's Avatar or someone he posseses that way. Killing Darkseid btw is a very bad idea, even if someone is able to do it, unless you have someone to take his place (his Son) And i don't mean just the problem he might fall onto all of existence in the multiverse but because he is a integral part of existence himself and thous the multiverse can't even exist without him.

Jack Kirby was frustrated at Marvel. He was doing more than half the work and getting less than half the credit. Work for hire, no royalties. He wanted to create something wholly his own. So he defected to the Distinguished Competition. It was still work for hire, but at least he got all the credit. Thus was born the Fourth World. He started on Jimmy Olsen, a failing title, and revived it. He used that to launch The New Gods, Mr. Miracle and The Forever People, my personal favorite. Darkseid wasn’t meant to be the featured character, just one of a much larger cast. The contrast between Orion and Scot Free was supposed to be the featured article. But Kirby had created an icon. To describe Darkseid as a “villain” doesn’t do justice to the concept, and I feel you’ve captured the idea well, Tyler. Thanos was created in the image of Darkseid. Anyone can see that. And we all know how that worked out. Long live King Kirby!:)

If darkseid is but the absence of God, and we are split apart from God until Judgment Day, darkseid is desperately trying to cut us off from God. He cannot break the link because he is not as powerful as God, so he tries to hide God from us and crowd out the light of God from our soul. He can do this almost entirely, except for the small surface area that the link takes up. This is why we have a conscience and long foe justice and all things good. Most importantly, this is why we are looking for God and are never satisfied at the physical, as we know deep down, even subconsciously, that there is more. But we don't see the God at the other end of the link. We can't follow the link because darkseid has hidden it and trapped us in the darkness, so we don't know which way to go. This explains the existence of all religions. The only way we can return to God is if God reveals himself to us. He is above darkseid, so he can do it. Why would he? Because he created humanity to be with him. And on Judgment Day, humanity finally gets its epilogue, and there is no sequel. What happens in the epilogue is the conclusion to everything, and nothing. Just like the end of the book is the conclusion to the story, which never even happened, so nothing really ended in the first place

The DCEU and it's problem of overly powerful characters. I feel for the fans. There's no real way a 1.5hr movie will encapsulate all this without being cheesy. Compare that to Marvel, where the aim is to build characters and goals that you can identify with. There's a reason why Batman is the most, and possibly only, relatable DC hero in cinemas to date. Because he's actually close to a normal human being.

The first wolf knows he is outnumbered and doesnt stand a chance even if it doesnt know the word "two" or has the ability to calculate probability.

@@Phurzt I would say that is instinct. A fight or flight response. A confrontation with another being would trigger this, and a confrontation with more would just make it more intense.This happens due to intimidation or fear. All sentient beings are capable of feeling, so I am not surprised that a wolf would do that. Behaviour is conducted by many factors, and sapience is not needed to have one. Things like hormones, innate conducts that is genetically hardwired, pain (damage that is registered by bioelectric signatures that reach the brain), psychological trauma (their brain has registered that something has caused it great pain, and in an attempt to prevent this, it has developed a defense mechanism because all livings beings possess a need to survive, and avoiding pain is usually a good way stay alive for much longer). All of these and more (that I can't mention because It's not like I have a PhD or something) are factors that are responsible for behavior, in both beasts and humans ( I said beasts because we are also animals. I never like mentioning animals and humans separately. We are animals too). Most animals are definitely capable of emotion, even affection. But sapience is just not needed. Holy shit, I wrote a lot. Anyway, what you said is true, except that it is not true understanding.
