Well... I just installed a "Radar 195/65R16" car tire on my 2003 Goldwing. It was tight but got it in place without any prying tools. Looks good too. Also installed Eco beads for balancing.

This is basically the perfect video. Short and to the point. I've been considering going darkside on my chopper because I'm just too broke right now to buy a motorcycle tire and a car tire is like half of the price. I don't need any real cornering performance because I live in Florida and all of our roads are straight. I end up wearing out the middle of the tire with a ton of tread left over on the edges.

Do you notice any sort of a "bump-steer" effect when hitting bumps or irregularities in the road surface when running the car tire on the rear?
@ricuhot5 жыл бұрын
Not at all. I currently run 38psi front and rear

After all this time I want to change my reply to yes, but only at ultra low speed, and depending on the particular tire and PSI.

Irregularities in the road certainly make the motorcycle turn in the opposite direction. The jury is still out.

What type of bike is this the rim looks lit like mine I'm haveing a time getting the tire to set on rim

Use tire slip sealer. And when you start to air it up don’t quit until it seats. My last tire seated at 33psi with slip. Run flat tire seater at 70psi. But I didn’t like the run flat at all.

If you drive straight and don't care about going fast in curves I don't see a problem. M/C tires are a ripoff and pain in the ass replacing often.

That is a ussumption and wrong. You can't go faster than scraping boards/pegs/exhaust, right? On top, because the shape, you can lean deeper with a CT since the rear is lifted a bit. What is that "pain" to replace them? And whT about changeing 3 MT's for the distance that you can run a MT? I see the "pain"... the short MT life span.

After much research and deliberation, I went with normal rotation first. I have access to a tire changer machine so I intend to flip it maybe after 1000ks to see what if any difference there is to handling. I will post my observations on the ROLL'N DARKSIDE Facebook page.

Try that on a Real motorcycle, - one that actually goes around corners, instead of the tractor you are using, and see what happens.
