Dayum Midir’s laser actually hurt a lot. Giving him rot immunity at least made the fight more entertaining to watch considering how Aeonia is pretty much death sentence to almost all the bosses.

Because Midir's laser is dark damage, but the characters in this game have no dark defense. And in this game, laser is holy damage, so Malenia's holy defense is changed to 0.

It's supposed to be Dark, not Holy, I believe. The laser is supposed be Dark but is Holy, and becauseher defences against Dark are 0, that's why she has 0 Holy resistance, because is supposed to Dark, not Holy

It is impossible to balance something that is broken from the start. Progression and damage rates are too different in ER and DS3. Malenia literally has twice as much HP in just the first stage as Midir does in the first two stages. I used to hear a lot of criticism about how durable Midir is, now it looks pretty funny.

Because his laser beam deals dark damage in reality not holy and most bosses in dark souls 3 have negative absorption to dark or close to zero except the bosses that are corrupted by the abyss like midir and gael, her 40% absorption is almost equal to gael first phase which is you know the man how ate the dark soul. I think the closest entity to malenia in dark souls 3 is nameless king which has -8% absorption so she having zero absorption feels about right in lore perspective at least

@@LuM4rex i feel like ng+ in ds progresses more exponentially tho, just going to ng+1 already makes some areas impossible to tank in and so i feel if they made it ng+7 vs ng+7 dark souls bosses would actually be closer than people think. Its just the base game where elden ring seems stronger overall if we exclude nameless king and dlc. (For me nameless is harder than literally melania and placidisax and the elden beast+ radagon💀)

Health regen per hit, an attack that literally requires an online guide and hours of practice to avoid, and her phase 2 shenanigans pretty much makes her cheap AF. Not saying she is too hard because I’ve beaten her many times, but for BvB, she is cheap AF that you don’t even need to see the fight to know who wins.

man no need to be rude He also buff placi in other videos just to make the battle more interesting otherwise midir will just stunlock placi to death In this video midir has the same scaling as malenia because dark souls 3 has lower scaling than elden ring that's why his damage is very high as for dark damage absorption in dark souls 3 a lot of the bosses have a negative absorption to dark or close to zero except the abyssal creatures malenia having zero is a bit higher than nameless king which I think is the closest entity to her lore wise so it feels about right

Only Boss which can be threat to Malenia without modifying is Maliketh and that's why their battles are the most entertaining, because we can see two strongest Bosses in their natural form. I don't like idea of handicapping any Boss in this type of videos. This way even Pinwheel would be able to beat Malenia, just give him 1000000 HP and I'm pretty sure he would mop floor with her.

​@@suchar7175 If you mean by regular conditions the original state of every boss than yes she will always win because she had more hp than yhorm and double the hp of midir without the lifesteal but how will she react to dark damage is she weak to it or not? It is hard to balance. I think it more interesting to see the two bosses having a similar scaling and let the winer be determined by the moveset of each boss and no pinwheel will never win against malenia no matter the health because he lacks the damage and combos and malenia will just heal until he die that will not be fun to watch meanwhile the fight in the video is more interesting because it can go either way like the fights between gael vs midir or maliketh vs Godfrey. it will come down to RNG
