Its one of my pet peeves on the road. It is also dangerous for the pedestrians because they may not be able to see if someone is in the second lane and then might get hit. This "nice" gesture is adding danger for no reason. They have crossing lights anyway.

My reading of the last one: The Macca's worker took Karen's order out to her car, Karen mouthed off at the worker for being made to wait, the worker told Karen to pull her head in, Karen then got out and went to the window to get a photo of the worker to send to the manager, more mouthing off ensued, the cammer told Karen to get tf out of the way so he/she could pick up their lunch, Karen then started mouthing off at the cammer, the cammer told Karen what a Karen she was, Karen got the shits and tried to wreck the cammer's wiper. Few random thoughts: People who spit are just feral. Even when I was a kid I thought it was disgusting. The thing that always surprises me in all of these is how most people don't have the radio on. I've always driven with it on, could not even imagine not doing so, and always imagined most people would be the same. The last one's a Karen vid. There's at least seven Karen channels, all run by the same people, who just keep reshuffling and re-upping the same videos on all their channels, at least three times a day. They'd love it. if they get a copy it'll be uploaded at least ninety times by the end of the week.

I used to work in Sydney's Star Bar years back, and it was right next to Town Hall George Street Macca's and the amount of rude customers there just made me dejected and angry. They would always be rude over something as simple as "there's not enough fries in here" or a simple stuff up (it happens when customers don't speak proper English... and I'm talking about even the ones for whom English is their only language). I hated how they thought that was an excuse to treat their fellow human with disrespect to the point where if Macca's ever stuffed my order up, I made it a point of principle that I'd never go back to get it fixed and direct any annoyance at myself for going there in the first place. I did not want to be associated with these disgusting people in any way. I'm so glad for the Karen internet phenomenon to become popular but feel sorry for my friend's sister who is named Karen, as she is a wonderful woman.

10:19 I have no doubt that the truck would be legally required to give way, since their lane was ending. However, I feel like the DC could have refrained from being an ass about it. I mean for one, the truck wouldn't be able to adjust their speed to slot in quite as well as a car could have. And two, we don't see much leading up to this but the DC is likely to have been sitting on his shoulder, and/or speeding up intentionally but not quite fast enough, and/or proving a point based on the legal requirements. I'm not particularly saying the DC is at fault. Only that sometimes what is legally right, isn't necessarily what is fair?

The rules quite clearly state that when the lane ends and there is a white line the vehicle merging has to give way to traffic. This scenario is where situational awareness comes into play. The DC car if familiar with the area could have backed off to let the truck in or the truck could have backed off seeing that his lane was ending and he wasn't going to fit in front of the DC car. Both fail in this instance but the law would be on the side of the DC car.

Slow down, let him in since you're half way behind him, then have a crack at him. I am absolutely amazed that there arent a huge amount of fatalities on our roads far exceeding the current toll given the current standard of Australian drivers. We recently completed a trip from Adelaide to Perth and return and the amount of people overtaking on blind crests, tailgating at high speeds and just general all round stupid and self entitled driving behaviour was enormous.
