Hi Doctor Lindsay, thanks so much for some valuable information and most importantly you gave me some ideas about breakfast, lunch and dinner with snack, i really love this because like everyone else put some much things on KZbin but no ideas about food choices, over here your video is so educational. Both me and my husband going to use this video of yours and work on it. Thanks again. With kind regards from Sydney, Australia.

I lowered blood pressure by adding potassium and magnesium and eliminating carbs and sugar . Keto like diet helped me so much.

Good to hear! Yes eliminating carbohydrates is also helpful in losing weight and for patients with diabetes.

Things I love for cooking: Salt, Butter and Heavy cream. Things I Love for general consumption: liquorice, alcohol and chips. Things I should avoid, all above. Now to a question. I live in Sweden. I have access to game. Moose specifically. Should I avoid that as well and stick to fish and chicken?

My goal is to keep my sodium down to 1500 a day. I have just started to lower my sodium in the last couple of weeks and have lost 10-Ibs. I developed a excel sheet that helps me keep track of my calories, carbs., protein, sodium, potassium, magnesium and more. I was wondering if couscous acceptable on the dash diet? Thanks for the information it is what I was looking for to help me get on the right track!

Wow that’s great! Thanks for sharing your progress and motivation. I know it will inspire others. Yes couscous is a great option. They do make whole wheat couscous. 😊

Thank you for asking! Yes my Chalazion is fully gone now. I am left with a slightly different eyelid crease but you can’t really tell. I ended up doing only one session of IPL.

I later found out that I had an intestinal parasite from traveling. I believe this was the cause of my chalazion and other eye inflammation. Once the parasite was cured, I no longer had issues with my eyes. 🙏🏼 I plan to make a separate video about this! Stay tuned 😉

The oils and fats mentioned are not healthy options, should use coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil.

The only thing that sucks is I suck at cooking, no one ever taught me. So it’s so complex that I end up just going to the store or the nearest restaurant 😢

I thought the procedure itself was very uncomfortable. I did not want to go back for a second one. But I also feel like the person who did my IPL session was not very gentle so I think it just depends on who you see.

This seems so restrictive and hard to follow. Why such low protein and high carbs?
@dr.lindsaymarieАй бұрын
It’s a general guidance from a specific diet plan. You should follow what is right for you.

@@dr.lindsaymarie Yes, it was a genuine question. I need to get my BP down, and this is what the NP handed me. I honestly don't understand the high carbs. Not trying to be critical. Just seeking to understand.

If you're not seeing results, add exercise, but the diet alone does work! Be consistent. You'll see change soon. Also stop drinking alcohol if you drink.

No diet is better than another per se. It depends on your goals. For lowering blood pressure the DASH diet is better.
@pirkkarannali2 ай бұрын
@@dr.lindsaymarie There have been studies comparing both together for lowering blood pressure, and keto has overwhelmingly crushed the DASH diet. You should read those studies. At the same time, diabetics were able to stop their medication, which DASH did not achieve. So if we compare and do such studies with those results, we can say that the other is better. Clearly better

@@MeredithMinsky People should read more and more diversely about the cholesterol hypothesis in all aspects. Then maybe you could change your point of view on the matter. Maybe:)
