Overhead powerlines are quicker to fix. Underground cables often fault when the water table rises and when rivers and roads wash out. Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's better.

16 plus tornado outbreak up the center of florida from the glades up to orlando is crazy and that is at a given time no accumulative. If it was accumulative, I bet it would be easily 100 tornadoes just in the daytime before the hurricanes landfall.
