Even if I use FL Studio, I learned most of psytrance elements from you and thanks for these tutorials.

This was a bit more sophisticated than my pseudo-solution, where it just randomised the velocity and then just turned all velocities under 60 to 0. This is really awesome. I kept wondering what Value 3 was, but it kind of makes sense, since you can use these values "up top" in the logical editor. This is HUGE! Thank you, Dash! Stay excellent!

Clever! Really like this. I hadn't understood the depth of possibilities.

The bassline is awesome. Reminds me of Extrawelt 51 Poland street. I love those breaks in it.

This is a very cool idea - especially as I'm a Cubase user. I'm not making psytrance but I love to listen to it - and if I ever do try making some, I'll take tips from you any day. Thanks!

Awesome. Thanks Dash. Already had the randomisation working but needed to couple it with the Density control. However, now I can incorporate it all together. Plus density was never consistent and locked, whereas this method is.

Exactly! and then recording it into the MIDI channel would always waste a few minutes

This is so fricking great - but I cannot get my head round the Random Octaves if you ever revisit this - would love to know this is such a great tool for writers block thank you

Awesome technique.. Thanks man.. Was doing something similar with the midi modifiers and the step designer but this is a much better workflow.

Why i can‘t find the Logical Presets in the Key Commands to Add them to the Macro rope?
@DashGlitch3 жыл бұрын
They're in the folder called "Process logical..."

Is there anything similar about ableton? I'm really struggling with music theory and I need to find something. Please let me know! Thanks :)

Not that I know of, only devices like rhythmizer/scaler/Riffer but nothing like macros
@BappinProductions3 жыл бұрын
As Dash said nothing like macros, but there are countless Max for Live sequencers and other devices to explore instead.

Does ableton have this feature? Any ideas

Hi, i cant find those logical presets
@DashGlitch3 жыл бұрын
You create them, like I did in the video :)
@haroldfinch19003 жыл бұрын
i see the fun in this approach, but i also see another effect: you may build perfect macros, one after another and then all you have to do to "compose" a track is press a button. then you may pump out 20 albums a day with perfectly generated ear-candy tracks. you wouldn´t even have to listen to that soulless crap yourself anymore. Just another macro which uploads the tracks an albums to soundcloud. maybe another macro to generate a fancy albumcover with fractal art and psytrancy generated title? there is a video on youtube which maybe can illustrate, what i mean. the video-id is rBpaUICxEhk
@DashGlitch3 жыл бұрын
Some people don’t need macros to make soulless crap, I’m just speeding up the creative process, learn and apply it as you need 😃
@BappinProductions3 жыл бұрын
Using a DAW is cheating. You should go back to hand splicing tape, for more "soul" 😅

3 years late at the party, still, as stubborn dinosaur Cubase user very happy to find this. This video helped me out where others just confused me. So for other Cubase users in the same boat: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooWnd6SIn92Vnbc makes it a breeze
