Thanks for this Video! As a Tableau user primarily, noticed a lot of nice similarities here!

hi, great reasoning. I too had a question, I need to append 2 different data sources, first, sales data of tier 1 cities from SQL database & and sales data of tier 2,3 cities from Excel. Doing “add data” only gets me to join other datasets but I am unable to find a way to append data sources. Columns & data types are identical in both data sources.

Hi, @Abhishek Mani Thanks for your question. I'm not sure if I fully understood your question, but you probably can do a Cross Data Source Joint. If you are interested in mastering your Quicksight Skills, you may consider taking a look at the Hands-on Couse we just release on Udemy with the latest features. www.udemy.com/course/the-complete-quicksight-course-2022-from-zero-to-expert/?referralCode=9EEBD96B7479D7C192E2

Thanks for the video, I have a question- I have a invoice table and a contact table which have contacts for those invoices in case I want to follow up. Contact table have multiple contacts associated with one invoice. Now when I am joining the data it’s creating the duplicate rows which is messing up the numbers. How to deal with it.

I believe in that case it's need to use grouping by invoice, if you want to use any or all of contacts related to single invoice. It looks like there is special group of fields in analyze, for adding named "group by". But I think that QuickSight should resolve this case correctly and you will get invoice data in rows and and all the contacts as values. But at the level of data set there will be duplication of course, as a result of joining, where each rows of contacts will be associated with the same invoice, according to relation.

Thank you for video. I have a question : When excluding fields and lets say it's athena as a datasource , does it mean it will not send a query to athena for those columns , and it is more optimized to do so ? So it will be faster and cheaper in general.
