I'm about to turn 32 years old. I've always been good with computers, though the little programming and math skills I once had are gone, so I would rather start over with newer software and tools. Could anybody kindly tell me if I stand a chance in the data analytics world regardless of my age? My logic is that I should take a couple of relatively short courses (or whatever they call them) for like 2 or 3 years, and try my luck. I have trust in me and I know I can manage to get to a decent level in such field, but I really don't know if age and schooling play a big role in getting hired and payed well. I have a couple of friends who managed to get decent jobs without getting a degree; they just learned the required skillset and got connected to jobs through networking.
