Funny thing is, in Metamorphosis, one of the big consequences of the bug transformation is that the guy's family gets disgusted and alienates him. He does spend a lot of time under a coach, also.

Soooo gross and disrespectful! That would be a deal breaker for me. I'd dump his a$$ because it's not about the ruining of the dinner, it's the fact he double downed on it, and blamed her when she was just trying to have the rest of her dinner! To me the spitting is just as bad as if he were to raise a hand at her! What a spoiled brat manchild!

the referral to Kafka´s The Metamorphosis as "that horrifying play" and the image of a guy cast as Gregor Samsa hiding under the couch all day with a cardboard box to be the "beetle" and do "beeteling" is honestly the most hilarious thing i CAN´T Like this is TRIPLE as funny to anyone who knows The Metamorphosis. I´m only referring to Samsa as "Beetle guy" from now on.

@@emifukakado-msjoke at first I couldn’t tell he was so casual about it when he brought it up but there’s no way that didn’t hurt. I offered to let him go through my phone but at that point I lived in his grandmas house with him and didn’t have a car, I couldn’t be physically cheating even if I wanted to at that point. I’d like to note that he didn’t even skip a beat when it happened, he just kept thrusting like it was a completely normal thing to say. Also ever since that night I have never been able to drink the same way again so I think my body is physically rejecting the level of embarrassment I reduce myself to when I’m drunk (which is honestly so, so fair)

When you lose someone you try to hold on to anything you can about them. It doesn't matter if you have one thing or ten. Once that person is gone everything that remains feels like the only thing stopping your loved one from disappearing. So to op it might have been just a shirt compared to everything else but to her it might have been a huge reminder that her friend was there. Shirts also retain smell somewhat and I know lots of people who use old shirts to hug and de-stim.

For the story where the boyfriend threw away the dead best friend’s tshirt-I’m not sure this guy has ever lost someone he cared about. If so, that’s great, I’m happy for him. But it’s a terrible pain that never fully goes away. It’s just something you can eventually ignore. He clearly doesn’t understand that, or otherwise is too self-centered to care. I wonder if he’s actually jealous of the dead best friend in an odd way, feeling like his girlfriend spends more time thinking of her memories than him. I can understand having feelings, but sometimes we need to shake off stuff like that and think of others instead. What he did was very wrong.

The Bug Man storry: It‘s a Story from the Book "Frank Kafkas Erzählungen". De German Writer wrote a story about a man that wakes up as a almost 6feet bug. He is afraid to show himself to his family so he won‘t go out of the room. The longer he is a bug, the more he feels like a bug. He hides under his bed, stops eating, looses his job and in the end dies. Very very weird story.

For the girl whose fiancé spit in her food…continue cooking dinners if you like, but only make enough for a single portion for yourself. None for him & no leftovers. The story about the jealousy over a dead friend… I was in an abusive relationship for 6 years in which I knew to never speak about my first husband who had passed early on. Now, years later and in a very healthy marriage and I sleep with an old pic of me and my dead husband at the beach with our arms wrapped around each other. My husband knows it’s there and doesn’t care at all. In fact, recently I asked if he’d be okay if I framed it and added it to our wall of family pics and other art. I was so nervous, but didn’t need to be. He said, “of course babe! He was an important part of your life.” That’s what a supportive spouse acts like. He’s never been threatened if I’ve ever cried about the situation, as it was very traumatic. Always supportive and sensitive to the fact that at one time, this other man was my everything and I lost that very young. He knows I love him more than anyone bc I show him that. I hope this girl can move on and find someone who will respect her grief and not make her feel as if she has to hide it. Someone that will be confident enough not to be threatened by a dead person! Especially when it was just her friend.

I know this video is old but I am rewatching some old podcasts and the boyfriend tshirt story has recently became relatable to me. My mom passed away in August and I have a box of her clothes in my closet that I will go to and sniff and hug. Just stuff that remind me of her. If my boyfriend came and threw it out, I would be livid. Grief isn’t something you “get over”. It’s something you learn to live with. The boyfriend must be leaving something out for everyone to hate him this much. But perhaps breaking up is the best route as it seems she won’t be able to get over it and it will just become toxic for the both of them. Maybe after this guy loses someone close to him he can reflect and understand why she reacted the way she did.

Ants are so tiny that doesn't sound like a great protein source 😂. Crickets and other bigger insects, I get they're popular in some countries. But well as long as he's not getting sick let him enjoy it at home when you're alone 😅

My mom raised my sisters & I talking openly about sex. She definitely drilled into our heads the whole 'no sex before marriage', but she would also answer any question we had. I raised my kids the same way, basically; the biggest difference being that I don't buy into purity culture. I encouraged them both to wait until THEY were ready, and not to let ANYONE pressure them. Once they got older, I shared my view on premarital sex/living together before marriage. I have always said that we all try on shoes to make sure they are a comfortable fit, so why would we make a life changing decision without making sure it's a comfortable fit all around? We should make sure we're compatible in EVERY way before making such a big leap. I also don't see any issue with choosing to never get married. My youngest is 18 now & even tells their friends that I'm their BFF. They know I don't judge, and will always be there to give them all of the info they need to make an informed decision. I refuse to make decisions for them now, unless they directly need me to for some reason. Sorry that you lost the footage. I'm still here to listen along. ✌🏽

Going into marriage, you could never think youd have to tell your husband, who is now pretending to be a beetle, to pleasee stop clicking and scurrying around the house. And stop hiding under the couch. Lmao 😂😂

On the dinner story, OMGGGGG, I can't believe someone would've done that, I'm very sharing with food with people that are close to me, so I wouldn't have a lot of problems with that, but THE WAY HE REACTED, OMG, my Latina ass would have just told him that from now on he will have to find someone to cook for him because I will watch him faint of hunger before I cook for him again.

On the last story-I’m wondering if the motivation for the boyfriend being an ass is because he felt like the friend was a third person in their relationship. He probably thought that he could magically take the girlfriend’s grief away through the power of love and got frustrated when he couldn’t. Grief and trauma do not work that way and no one gets to decide what mementos a grieving person can keep and for how long. If her grief was somehow excessive, trying to erase visual reminders of the friend wasn’t the way to support her through that. I think he knew exactly what he was doing when he tossed the shirt and is using plausible deniability as a cover. She’s well rid of him.

The "Taylor story" reminded me of my first ex: We were on a call (I was on a vacation with my family he was at home and they were on a trip where I couldn't go cause I had sprained my ankle any my friend couldn't go so she took care of me with her boyfriend and they left to buy food) so then he said: "Hey um someone just came and my mother wants me to go meet them I will be back but I will mute so you don't hear crying or something." (He had a 1 year old sister so he did that always when he was leaving me wait on call. Nothing weird.) so I was just waiting but he forgot to mute after I heard the little one crying. I said what ever I will just tell him he forgot when he comes. But to my surprise I hear my best friend talking and giggling while coming up with him. So I muted my mic and started recording the sound, I did not mute my sound. I just hear them starting to make out. So my heart broke but I didn't cry or anything I just listened more. When they wanted to go to the next stage (also we were all underage for this stuff) so I just unmute and he had me on speaker to hear if I look for him I guess so he won't get caught or something. So I just unmute and say: "Are you having a good time Thomas? I think you should at least check twice if you're muted. Oh and Molly I will see what Jackson thinks about this bye." and hang up. Jackson and I went after on a movie and a coffee place to talk. Now we are still friends he found out he's gay and has an amazing boyfriend Kyle. I went through some relationships but now I am single and happy. We went to a party few week ago and I saw Molly. That's where it gets good. She was pregnant. With twins. So you could imagine how she looked. She was drinking so she could get rid of it cause she was still very young. (Thomas is the baby daddy) So she's drunk, he's hooking up with her sister. I found that out through Kyle after we were leaving. So we just went to McDonald's and were laughing that might have been us if we didn't find out. I am laughing about this and it's great. Also all names in this comment are fake because I do not want to expose someone if you know a pregnant Molly who's baby daddy is a Thomas. But I hope y'all enjoyed this story.

Ant's produce formic acid. They have a strong flavor. He likes the taste! Which is weird. Because they taste gross. Like a sour/spicy flavor. I know this because I accidentally drank off a soda that was covered in ants once. You only do that once, and then you look before you drink. 😢

Video games do not make people violent. However, it is those types of personalities that are attracted to such media. Especially the competitive portion of it. No other type of media has had the level of death threats by the community as the video game community towards the devs, and it could just be an announcement of a delay or something trivial like that.
