@@mitacestalia7532 It's more a matter of pride. The country was utterly smashed after the war, and women played a massive role in clearing the rumble and getting it going again. Being an entitled princess is not what German women admire. As for the men, it is considered normal and expected that they can build or repair everyday things, leaving the experts to handle the specialized or very complex. To all who thinks German women are just so „easy“: The difference is that Germans don’t just casually date anybody as long as he doesn’t look repulsive at first sight. Dating in Germany is definitely NOT about finding out if you might be interested. If you date someone on a one on one basis, you already know that person (usually) and believe to be interested. It is expected without saying that you are not dating someone else. Casual dating is only done in a context where you know from the start that all that both are looking for is s.x, like tinder dates. I am sure that kind of thing exists in the US, too. However, if you know each other e.g. from your workplace or tennis club and you have seen each other many times in a group of friends and you are genuinely interested in the other person, you will not immediately suggest a date. You will spend a few days, weeks or even months (depending on the situation) showing interest in a subtle way, like smiling at her and hoping she smiles back; talking to her more than the others, if she stays behind stay behind too, etc.. If she obviously likes that you will suggest meeting to do something together, like have a coffee and goblin a walk or something. If she says yes, it is assumed that you are not meeting someone else, there is no „are we exclusive „ talk. You are automatically exclusive. And it is hard to say what your „first date“ was. A sensible woman would never get in your car at night unless she thought she knew you well, so if you go out together in the evening she will get to the place by herself, making sure she is able to get home without you. If you are going together in your car, that means either she is very naive or you are a steady couple.

I was born and raised in South Korea and I moved to the USA around a year ago for school. I also lived in Canada (it was just 7 months tho). What I felt is that usa and south korea women want to be treated like they are princess. I mean, yeah of course man and woman both side have to treat with each other well enough, but I feel they are doing too much. Some us and korean women act like they are dating for their man, not for themselves so their man have to give everything for her. Like too much ego themselves or something like that. On top of that, they mostly want their man to pay everything no matter how much money they make and they don’t appreciate towards that because they seem to think they deserve it. I don’t know how to explain what I felt into words. On the other hand, women from Japan or Canada aren’t like that. (I have a lot of Japanese friends) They are generally nice and not have too much ego. They don’t expect to get treated like a princess, they don’t mind paying themselves and sometimes pay for their man, and they pursue equal. I mean I think they don’t think that they are dating for their man. both side want to date with each other. Of course what I said could be wrong since it’s just my personal experience, and there are a lot of women that aren’t like that in the usa and South Korea. Just want to hear your view and opinions
