Simply put, White English people are not like White Americans. We Brits are not overly concerned with race. Don't overthink the intentions of men in the UK. They just like you.

Interesting perspective. As a black girl from Europe (The Netherlands) I have a different perspective. First of all initial attraction is always superficial (appearance, perceived status, someone that stands out, a foreigner). If a guy is seriously interested in a relationship he will want to get to know you better though. The barriers you face could be that they simply want to hook up with a beautiful woman (which you are and men will be men) and so your appearance and exoticness is what matters most to them. In Europe there are many black people from different backgrounds, but mostly from the Caribbean and Africa due to the past colonial ties. European men have been around black women, but African American women are indeed not very common to come across. So it's not surprising that you stand out, it's like being the new girl in school from another country. Some European men are attracted to black women and or/prefer them. As black women we have our unique features (just like women of other races have) and some men prefer that. I don't think it's comparable to light skin/dark skin in the US at all.

I'm a white English guy that's always been attracted to black women and if I was somewhere in a social setting, say a night out or something and there was a lot of typical Black British girls and one Black American girl around, I'd run to the American girl. Why? It's something different added to what I like. Not to mention that I've never met a Black American girl in my life. And I wouldn't just intend to date her for a few weeks to flaunt her accent to the people that I know then forget who she is after some time, I probably wouldn't even date her if I thought she was ugly so obviously I'd take her seriously! I know for a fact that a lot Black British guys that like white girls would do the same in that situation if the circumstances were reversed, whatever the intentions. I reckon you've run into men that were attracted to your foreign ''exoticness'' but maybe believed that you you'd be going home before long so never considered attachment... And acted like typical men - maybe just wanting to show off or had sex on their minds.

mannn i thought it was only me with these experiences - you really articulated it well ..... Its not just about dating white men - its just something in general with alot of foriengers - Its like an overly polite demeanor . . and when you actually try to ask them about themselves and share who you are its like theres no connection or real interest there - In the end they will tell you that you are too different for them .. but they will have wasted your time making you think they liked you .... I had this experience recently with an Algerian guy .. He was always like mama africa (in reference to me) talking about my special eyes , He knew i was American - I think thats why he liked me - But at the same time he hated America - and when i talked about U.S.A and our cutlure he was always like "its not special" .... So if I boil it down to its common truth- You simply increased your opportunity threshold to meet men in an area where you feel wanted- Basic human behavior. You became the exotic strawberry in a bowl of vanilla. Having traveled the world whatever the initial attraction, someone will eventually peel back your layers to get to know the real you. For me Black woman have always been amazing,but its all about chemistry after the initial vibe.

Thank you! I LOVE the attention that I get when I am in Europe, to the extent that I am researching how to move to Europe and deciding on a country. Life is too short to be treated as I am treated in the United States.... as if I am invisible, a joke/dare/sample, shameful, or a dirty secret. I know that the men largely want sex, but that is anywhere. I just feel that I am treated more human overseas, and my form of beauty is more acknowledged.

It's because most Eastern European countries tend to be like _(3rd world)_ shitholes. Rebuilt thanks to EU funds, these ex-bolshie republics still suffer a high crime rate and corruption which is also a question of the people's mentality. Nobody _(at least from Western nations)_ actually wants to immigrate there as those countries are not enough economically attractive compared to Central and North European countries _(where even many Slavs migrate for work and to live)_. Sorry for my hard words, but it's reality.
@Maksimilijus8 жыл бұрын
Fred Swetnam first of all, if the west is made of 1st world countries, then the eastern european states can only be 'the second' world countries, because situation is not as bad as it is in the middle east, or in africa, for example... EU funds??? hahaha! i can only pray to God that eu stops 'funding' us, and get their noble ass out of here...as your mighty and honest west never did anything, but dividing people, in order to find the easiest way to exploit the region. secondly, you have no knowledge of people's mentality, nor you understand the history of ex.yugoslavia. corruption is a product of shifting from socialism to capitalism, which happened too fast, under very negative post-war platform. you know, too many people from the west like to come to our shitholes, specially in dubrovnik and in budva, they probably like the smell of crap on the streets, and polluted water, as well... and lastly, you shouldn't feel sorry for the 'hard' words that you wrote, i understand that very smart people, such as yourself, don't always have time to be completely politically correct

This sounds very similar to some White men who describe on youtube getting alott of attention from certain Japanese or Chinese women in Japan and China and they think they are getting it because they are so handsome or interesting etc., etc. but after a while they realize that there are some women in Japan that are just fascinated and obsessed with foreign men period and it's not even really about them. I heard one African American lady speak of getting that kind of attention some times in Asia as well but it became apparent to her that the Asian men did'nt want a serious relationship with her.

Hi there, I'm of the opinion that white British guy's don't find you attractive because 'you are black'. For instance, I'm a Brit and know many, many people from all walks of life with various degree's of ethnicity. I think whit British guys would find you attractive because you appear to have a nice, down to earth personality - which in itself is attractive. You are also nice looking. Have a nice day.

no problem, glad to improve your mood. I noticed (on other vids) you elude to stereotypes, the stereotypical black American women (as far as many Brits are concerned - although I'm sure I don't speak for everyone) is dare I say obnoxious, very self opinionated with a lot of attitude and can be heard above everyone and everything else. Do you see such traits within yourself or perhaps friends? or is it a case of Hollywood/TV adding their two cents worth? Sorry for these questions, no offence intended but I do like to play 'devils advocate. x
@ItsKells8 жыл бұрын
+Ian Bos There are these types of people in every group, no? I'm sure you've come across many. At times every person can be opinionated, have an attitude, or be obnoxious. Just ask their mother, spouse or long-time lover. What is sad, and incorrect, is that this behavior is often (not always) attributed to black American women. It is not true of all women. It is a caricature that people with limited expose to black woman have accepted as true, thus a stereotype. Most likely furthered by the media not seeking to promote the diversity of black women as they should. "It doesn't sell". No offense taken :)
@Ianbos18 жыл бұрын
This is very true, I for instance currently live and work near Oxford, although I'm not indigenous to the area and I must say (between you and me) that I do not like/get on with 'Southern people' because of their general attitude. If by chance I initiate a random conversation with a random person, they view me (along with anyone else in the same scenario) with general distaste. 'Up North' is a different matter completely, there you can talk to any stranger about anything with absolutely no ramifications or judgement on their part or mine (luv it). However, in an ironic sense, the' Northern lot' no matter how friendly are probably the more likely to react to racist issues. Have you ever been to North England? If so what did you find regarding behaviour?
@ItsKells8 жыл бұрын
+Ian Bos No, never been to northern England

If you are a traditional woman who comes from a traditional family, the one thing about dating that is always in the back of your mind is that you are also thinking about if he would be a good fit, not only for you, but also for your family or his family. Yes, it is good to fanticise and dream about foreign men, but you can't stray too far away from your cultural boundaries and that is true from his side as well. This is also true rather you dating someone who are either a foreigner overseas or even someone who is an American but lives in a different part of the country. Regardless of the two, there can be cultural differences in upbringing including education and beliefs. There is one more very important thing: There is a book called "Marrying Smart" by Susan Patton that basically says that for all women who plans to get married someday, there is a very narrow window of a lifetime opportunity to literally find and marry your mate. According to her, the best window of opportunity for everyone lies between the ages of 18 to about 26 years of age which coincides with the college years. So what she is saying is that your college years is the best time and the window of opportunity to find that special someone, and that if you have not found him or her by time you finish college or a little bit after, the avaiability of good qualified mates began to dwindle very rapidly because what is left are the leftovers who may have been either divorced or someone who may have nothing better to offer but a ready-made famiy or childen from a previous marrage or relationship. So, what the book is saying is that if you have not found that special someone to marry, especially within those college years, you are running out of time and maybe out of luck even for the most educated, beautiful, attractive, and stunning woman like you. So, you are going to have to get in the hunt (smile) and go into overdrive because as you know, women compared to men have that clock ticking for bearing children, and you don't wont that clock to run out (smile). So, that means if you, as a woman, have not found your special someone by the time you have finished college or shortly thereafter, you've gotta get moving because the clock is ticking (smile).
@ItsKells7 жыл бұрын
+Emory Sims I don't agree with 90% of what you've said here, especially the getting married during college age. That is very old fashioned and out of touch with the current reality. Essentially that way of thinking is an old school scare tactic used in previous generations to get you g people to marry and settle down into the American "hamster wheel/ rat race" as soon as possible. I do however understand the potential cultural differences and how that may present issues in a relationship, however I also believe that cultural differences can be overcome by two willing adults.

It's Kells I mean I understand you but I also understand A list. Like your complaining about something your doing completely on your own will. Also, your goof looking sister ... BUT I find that yall go overboard with what you THINK people thinks of you.

***** I luv your comment and its written straight from my brain. WHY post vids of you complaining about how your not sure why White men date you? You are trying to figure out or prove? If you like white men then .. don't complain about them because you cant. Also I don't REALLY think that White men are "fascinating" by you. You are a Beautiful sister. Trust me but that sounds delusional. There are sooo many White women and Black women in the world and in Europe. You gassing yourself. We need to start loving ourselves otherwise ... they will continue to act this way with you because we are looking desperate. Trust me .. I HATE brothers that do this. Show ppl w love ourselves 1rst!

Maybe you should consider giving up swirling lol Problem solved but I'm starting to believe that your not attracted to attractive black men and that's fine too. Great video

+Patrick Pepin Wait, so you’re suggesting I reduce my dating pool… Why would anyone do that? That’s like asking someone to not expand their business into other areas that are profitable? That’s unreasonable.
@patrickpepin85777 жыл бұрын
It's Kells it's that your complaining that white guys don't take you serious. It has nothing to do with your dating pool. I date all races of women. To me it's not the color of their skin but their character. . So you could widen your choices if you didn't limit your options to just white males.

I hear allot of the inferior/insecurity complex hear .Doesn't matter the education it reveals itself. I'm sure your complaining about getting to much attention from the Caucasian in England not man in general.

That's how I feel. In America because I'm edu and from the inner city the girls love the swag but don't want to really know the Man or history. I figure now that hell they can't change it any. Be in the moment. You don't know who you are until the moment anyway
