I'm Irish and Dave was an Irish treasure - when I need a good laugh when I need a cry , I turn on Dave-Ireland has its writers but no other comedian comes close to Dave's genius - his stories his jokes and his body language were all brilliant - - - - and oh so handsome-I will miss him forever.

Dave Allen is a genius. After he says 'Adam is happy' and he gets a whole 10 seconds of laughter from the audience, now that's an achievment.
@sorellman3 жыл бұрын
Well, that is an implied sexist remark, no matter how you slice it or what political affiliations you have. Also, he got the story in the Bible all wrong. It is Adam, not Eve, that god supposedly tells not to eat the fruits of the tree of knowledge. He is right about one important thing, though: It is ridiculous to have elected official taking the oath of office with their hand on the Bible. Among others, this is the book that condones slavery and belittles women from its first book to the last forged texts of the New Testament. Use a copy of the Constitution instead.

God is supposed to be all knowing and even knows everything that will happen in the future, but, god couldn’t foresee Adam being lonely. God gave Adam a penis to insert into a vagina but god hadn’t even thought about creating a woman. It was only after he saw that Adam was lonely that god created a woman from adam’s rib. I’m sure god wouldn’t have made a man with a penis without also giving him a sex drive so what in the hell was Adam going to do with his penis? A lifetime of masturbation? And how was Adam going to reproduce since god only made a man? It takes a make and a female to mate abd have offspring. God made two of all the animals on earth but only one human. Hummm. Did god have another brain fart? Apparently so. He sure wasn’t all knowing if he couldn’t even see the need to have a female human. After all, he gave sex mates to every other animal on earth. God isn’t all knowing and the god portrayed in the Bible isn’t even very smart.

God asked Adam, "What is wrong with you?" Adam said he didn't have anyone to talk to. God said that He was going to make Adam a companion and that it would be a woman. God said, "This person will gather food for you, cook for you, and when you discover clothing she'll wash it for you. She will always agree with everything you say. She will bear your children and never ask you to get up in the middle of the night to take care of them. She will not nag you and will always be the first to admit she was wrong when you've had a disagreement. She will never have a headache and will freely give you love and passion whenever you need it." Adam asked God, "What will this woman cost?" God replied, "An arm and a leg." Then Adam asked, "What can I get for a rib?" The rest is history...

@Pim Smit. Atheist I don't know what paintings that you've been looking at, but I've seen plenty that don't show a navel on Adam or Eve. However, the question of whether ARTISTS chose to depict Adam and Eve with or without a navel is irrelevant, since the Bible itself makes no mention of Adam and Eve having had navels. Since a navel results from having come into this world through being born from a woman, rather than from direct creation, it's safe to assume that they didn't have navels.

According to the Bible, Adam and Eve were the very first man and woman. They had two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain murdered Abel, so God banished him to a life of "wandering".
