Death Proof is literally one of the most criminally underated movies of all time. Kurt Russell, the music, the cinematography, the suspense, and that goddamn wonderful car chase at the end make it just as much worth watching as Tarantino's other films. I honestly don't understand the hate.

Thank you Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, thank you Quentin Tarantino, thank you Sydney Tamiia Portier, Monica Staggs, Jordan Ladd, and Vanessa Ferlito for working together to create the most memorable movie moment using a most memorable tune. _Death Proof_ is fucking great, so gripping, so worth the repeat watches.

What a song, I just love the intro and the guitars in this track. Hold Tight by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich got to No.4 in the charts in April 1966 and was the UK's No.26 of 1966. Awesome, just awesome.

Fantastic song by one of the first experimental bands. Made number 4 in the UK charts in 1966 and was in the charts for 10 weeks, this was followed by 8 more top ten hits including the classic ''Legend of Xanadu'' number 1. in 1968. great band.

I feel cheated by being born too late, my family always jokes I'm have too much of an old soul because I hate almost all of today's music but will bump the classics like it ain't no thing. I miss music being good music and artist being actual artists who COULD sing without all the autotune crap and sampling everyone else's songs.

On this day in 1966 {May 23rd} Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich performed "Hold Tight! on the ABC-TV network weekday-afternoon program 'Where The Action Is'... The song did not make Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, but on April 10th, 1966 it peaked at #4 {for 2 weeks} on the United Kingdom's Weekly Singles chart... Between 1965 and 1970 the group had fourteen records on the United Kingdom's Weekly Singles chart; eight made the Top 10 with one reaching #1, "The Legend of Xanuda" for 1 week on March 17th, 1968... The group just missed having a second #1 record when "Bend It!" peaked at #2 {for 2 weeks} in 1966, and the two weeks it was at #2, the #1 record for both those weeks was "Distant Drums" by Jim Reeves... They had one record make Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, "Zabadak", it peaked at #52 in 1968...
