Death Proof is literally one of the most criminally underated movies of all time. Kurt Russell, the music, the cinematography, the suspense, and that goddamn wonderful car chase at the end make it just as much worth watching as Tarantino's other films. I honestly don't understand the hate.

What a song, I just love the intro and the guitars in this track. Hold Tight by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich got to No.4 in the charts in April 1966 and was the UK's No.26 of 1966. Awesome, just awesome.

Fantastic song by one of the first experimental bands. Made number 4 in the UK charts in 1966 and was in the charts for 10 weeks, this was followed by 8 more top ten hits including the classic ''Legend of Xanadu'' number 1. in 1968. great band.

On this day in 1966 {May 23rd} Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich performed "Hold Tight! on the ABC-TV network weekday-afternoon program 'Where The Action Is'... The song did not make Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, but on April 10th, 1966 it peaked at #4 {for 2 weeks} on the United Kingdom's Weekly Singles chart... Between 1965 and 1970 the group had fourteen records on the United Kingdom's Weekly Singles chart; eight made the Top 10 with one reaching #1, "The Legend of Xanuda" for 1 week on March 17th, 1968... The group just missed having a second #1 record when "Bend It!" peaked at #2 {for 2 weeks} in 1966, and the two weeks it was at #2, the #1 record for both those weeks was "Distant Drums" by Jim Reeves... They had one record make Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, "Zabadak", it peaked at #52 in 1968...

Was gonna buy the album after I saw it in my local retro record store Vinyl & Vintage not long ago, but Sarah, who served in the shop and is a colleague of Clare who runs the shop, explained that there was some damage done to the record surface so it had to have been either sold at a cheaper price or withdrawn from sale.
