My oldest and dearest friend of 50 years told me he saw Dave in Philly one night in the 80's. He said, "You know me. I don't dance. They started the show with "Crawling From the Wreckage". STARTED with that! And then they took off from there. By the end of the night, I was doing the Twist on top of a table!" The power of one of Rock n Roll's Greatest... Dave Edmunds. 🎸✌️

Saw him in Rockpile late 70s version. Possibly saw them again as Nick Lowe's band. Line up- Dave, guitar, vox. Bill Bremner (Scots) guitar, vox. Nick Lowe (English), bass, vox. Terry Williams (Welsh legend), drums. Just great

Remember Dave with Love Sculpture, played around Cardiff and the Valleys regular.(Wales UK) with Andy Fairweather Low, and Amen Corner Group. I was an Art student in Cardiff in 1969, and the City was a breeding ground for Rock Groups.!!

Wouldn't be a rock n roll song if slowed down, would be more like rhythm and blues in the same 12 bars. Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, and so many others realized that if they could take those same 12 bars and speed it up. It's no longer blues, it's rock n roll.
