It kills me when people run DMB down as some annoying pop band, you just don't know them. One of the greatest bands of all time. Dave is a true gentleman.

When you had to stifle your tears, Big Brother Dave, from within my heart towards you came thousand hugs. You and all the members of the DMB, both past and present, deserve nothing but the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth which you all have continuously poured from yourselves to all of humanity. When I have secluded myself in nature with nothing but you, your boys, and me, I have always found myself not seclude, but an abundance of attentive life begins draws near with attentive ears, and even the wind seems to dance and rejoice, and the eye beholds the fowls with their graceful circles and bats with their banded stream perform before me and the creatures of the ground, the ancient ballet of wings and graceful currents.

Take note, other rich, white dudes in America: THIS is how you comport yourself when you have money to burn. You don't buy yourself a 12th vacation home or 47th luxury sports car. Give something back to your communities. Be a decent human being. Turns out, you can still have a great life of your own while helping others who aren't as fortunate.

I love his music... but sometimes I think things that have conflict and race is automatically called "racism." For Charlottesville... our history is our history. Tearing down statues may make some activist students feel better but is it good? MLK had some questionable "dalianses" in his day. Would it be right if women demanded his statue be torn down? In Seattle... the town Dave Matthews lives in today.. there is a statue of V. Lenin. Yes... the guy that killed 20 million people 100 years ago. We are a diverse nation... and we have challenges you just don't find on most of the planet.
@Bea-fc4sn6 жыл бұрын
He came from Apartheid South Africa to the US to escape racism, that's the whole point. In South Africa we had PERFECT state racism and segregation, and still he found the US to be incredibly racist. Cause he knows what racism is. He's a good man doing good things, please don't use this to try to change peoples minds to what you think racism is...

Dave Matthews Band really lost it's touch when he stop having faith in God. It was some of the greatest music in history. Christians are HOPING he brings his music back alive through faith. Not works.

How incredibly presumptuous of you to speak for another man's faith? Who does that?
@carlahughes59315 жыл бұрын
It’s almost like he took those “thoughts and prayers” and put his money where his mouth is. Works are what it’s all about.
@nikmarkwell5 жыл бұрын
@@carlahughes5931 Except that since he came out as an agnostic, the bands' music has been terrible and works are not what life is about. Faith in Christ is what life is about and the Holy Spirit gives you works to do. Think Christ gives you works that revolve around money? I'm not sure (doubtful), I don't have the money to be that charitable. But it's not works that save, it's Christ which gives you the Holy Spirit. John 14.
