Wow, he is like the first guitarist I have seen a video of that actually understands how all of his gear works...

I dig the fact that nto only does Dave actually KNOW what the hell's in his rig, but how it works and how it's wired....the mark of a TRUE "profrssional musician". Lots of guys reach a certain level of success, and completely forget what the hell they're using or REQUIRE a tech to sort it out.

Dave is a Marshall guy through and through. He may screw around with other gear every now and then, like this video, but eventually he always returns to Marshall. When I think of Dave Mustaine I think of a King V into a Marshall. THAT'S Megadeth.
@embassyhotel9 жыл бұрын
Dave Mustaine is such a hero of mine. we've both been through very simuliar things in life such as prescription abuse as well as David Ellefson. Dave has been to rehab over 15 times which is insane & you'd think someone who has gone that many times is a hopeless case but he finally beat it. & then being kicked out of metallica in which he could have packed it in & gave up or just been noted as a founding member of metallica like bassist Ron Mcgovney of metallica who isn't a bad guy by any means & has done well for himself but when Dave Mustaine was canned & on that bus ride home he was already on a mission & saw the name megadeth & it started from there. it happened for a reason obviously, I couldn't imagine not having megadeth music. ][v][EGADET][-]['s music is so much more complex than Metallica's music but we are very fortunate to have both bands. I don't understand why Dave was so bitter for so many years because here you had a guy who bounced back pretty dam quickly after metallica kicked him out, it's not like Dave went onto form a mediocre band, megadeth is in the big 4.

@mmim4 They don't use heads cause they move around too much, so he has a separate preamp and poweramp nowadays. If you look on the newer video by harmonycentral where the techs talk about Dave Jr., Chris, and Dave's setups, you can see that some of them use different brands of preamp (e.g. digitech) and then separate power amps (Marshall in Chris and Dave's cases). Basically racks allow for power conditioners, switches for the guitars, processors/preamps, and poweramps, plus portability

@jfgirard14 Well it was customized for Dave by Dave so to his ear it sounds better. I guess the marshalls were lacking in an area he felt he needed therefore he thinks it sounds better. Even if that's not true think about it: The line6 amps available to us normal people would never sound as good as the marshalls available to us. But if it's customized for an icon like Dave it probably is head and shoulders above any other line6 product.
