In n out doesnt belong in that category either. Just cause they create lines out the door doesnt make it a ‘medium fast’ burger joint. If anything in n out is the fast out of all of them cause the amount people served per hour and the economics of their kitchen(fordism) is more of McDonalds original vision than a modern McDonalds. Five and shake are also double the cost of in n out, which puts them in that ‘medium fast’ category that mike made up.

I don't understand how folks are not blown away by In and out. I have had (and In copious amounts) all four of the mentioned burger joints and in and out was far, far superior. Must be location specific. I tried in and out in Sacramento and my socks were blown the f off. Iv never had a place 3 times in one day but because I knew I was leaving I had in and out 3 times and all three times the burger was 10/10. A little confusing to me but, again, as Dave likes too say, it could be location specific. Everything I got was super hot melty fresh and bursting with deliciousness. So. For me, it's In and out hands down. Oh. Also. Iv had top notch from what a burger. Iv also had not so great. But these guys were ragging on it and iv got to say, when it's good, what a burger is 20x freaking mc Donald's. Not even close actually. Still not ganna say it consistently beats 5 guys and inn and out burger, but, when it's good it's competes with the best for sure.

They did respond after 2 - 3 months thanking me but MN is out of their preferred market area. This property was sold but still remains unused, sitting vacant. So sad. It was sold 10 years ago for $150K. It is in a good location so I do not understand why it is not being used to produce $$$. Not sure what taxes are, but a few years ago when I checked, it was $8K per year. The buyers/investors of this property are paying the $8K, plus a minimum of other $$ for upkeep. As a guess, another $4K. $1k per month to hold on. It is not a location that a hotel property company would be interested in. If a hotel company buys it and pays too much, they just add another floor or 2 to recover thier cost. It is crazy. Perfect location for In n Out or whataburger. We have Culvers, so maybe they do not want to compete with them. I don't blame them. Culvers is the best for quality and value.

Hell no. I'm from Texas, where Whataburger is from, and I've been eating Whataburger since I was 7 or 8...I'm 32 now. Whataburger is heavy as shit, and it's so greasy/wet. Not even close, In N Out is way better than Whataburger. The one thing I will say that I could eat from Whataburger is their breakfast menu, and the honey butter chicken biscuit. The burgers are too sloppy.

Their criteria was literally medium-speed chain restaurant burgers, they never said best burger ever made. You won't be getting a wagyu burger in Japan at a chain restaurant and even in Japan Wagyu is too expensive for the average consumer to have, so they wouldn't even know for themselves that it's the best.
