The fact that we cannot see Dave’s original monologue from his first broadcast after the attacks is a crime of its own kind. Not even close to the scale of what happened 22 years ago today, but a crime nonetheless. Who is responsible for our not being able to see this anymore?

If anyone reads this, I understand that Dave is a humble man, but I beg you to share his entire speech that he gave on September 17,2001. It meant alot not just to me but alot of other people in the United States. I was serving aboard the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON CVN 73 and we were first to arrive in the harbor that day to defend, unfortunately we were there too late. We tended to the wounded aboard the medical ship, and being there that day is the proudest moment of my life as well as the most impotent moment. I wanted to do more than hand out water and blankets, but that's what I did. I am moved to tears however, anytime I am telling friends who missed Dave's words that night.
