Awesome!!! And I believe Myles does sing “better” without a guitar just because he can focus on his vocals more. Regardless of him playing or not doesn’t exclude the fact he’s an incredible vocalist and guitarist! Can’t wait to see Dave check out more AB!

I’ve always said Myles sings better while not playing. It can’t be easy to play that well and sing like he does. The stuff he does with Slash is killer live cause he doesn’t play guitar on any of the tracks live.

He’s just as good playing with or without guitar in hand! He seems bored with Slash and the Conspirators in contrast to AlterBridge, I believe because he doesn’t usually have guitar in hand. Listen to live ‘words darker than their wings’ from this same concert, and you’ll hear great vocals as usual from Myles - while playing guitar! Great artist!

Well yes and no. Myles once said he is more focused on his guitar rather his vocals because he is actually a guitar player not singer. He started as a rhythm guitar player. If you wanna see Myles just sing, check out his work with slash. Not one bad song

I mean, yeah of course - not having to worry about playing the guitar correctly certainly makes it easier for Myles to belt out the lyrics. That's not to say, though, that his singing isn't godly either way! It's true Myles is a great singer either way, but maybe, without the guitar, he is able to focus on just singing.

Not sure it's the guitar or just the type of music (or both), but I think Myles sounds better with Slash (where he has no guitar). He can sound a bit rushed/out of breath live with AB I think. That being said, AB is a great live band.
