I’m 65, going through radiation for prostate cancer, and I too have back issues. I had L4, L5 fused in 2015, and haven’t had feeling in my right leg since…..and my back still hurts. Getting old gets tougher every day, Dave hang in there!

I hope you feel better Dave. I think you’d said it’s your back? I broke my back in 2000. I had just turned 30 years old. Two years into it I wanted to end my life and i spent many nights staring at the gun in my closet. I couldn’t work, I was on disability living in poverty and I just wanted it all to stop. The pain was unbearable. Obviously I didn’t go thru with it and I’m glad I didn’t. I still live with chronic pain but it’s different than it used to be. I have my own business, going on 12 years now, remarried with two great little boys who rely on their daddy to teach them about life and prepare them for what life has to offer. You’re in my prayers man. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for all the breadcrumbs along the way. Seriously, thanks.

I got GOOCHED yesterday on my Squire re issue 54 P Bass when I did a mod replacing the wiring harness with the pots and input jack from mm to SAE. Overall, she turned out great. Apparently, the Mexican Fender plant burnt down in 93. Every guitar from then on, until 96 was made with Fender US parts & shipped to Mexico for paint & assembly. Theres a YT video about a guy who bought a MX Squier strat, super cheap & looked up what it was. Big surprise. There's a Tele for sale over here in Australia for $800. Pity I just spent $620 on 1 Indonesian STD Strat, 1 Indo Tele & a Chinese "California series" Strat. All great cheap guitars. I have a lot of work to do.

You may enjoy something called a scroll saw for cuts like the one on the pick guard. It is like a band saw but makes more precise cuts and can cut inside a hole by easily removing the string/blade to go inside. It is for precise artistic cuts. Maybe, maybe not if you don’t want to take up the space. It is used for woodworking when you need to work smaller and in tighter places.
