This album was a collaboration with Willy Colon, Celia Cruz and many other incredible Latin artists. Never understood why he never mentioned.

In his book he talks extensively about the making of the album and the subsequent tour and he gives due credit to the artists involved. I don't think he had an exploitative attitude with this project.

He actually mentioned his sources (not in the title of the video, but in a number of occasions), so I think there's a difference between Rei Momo and, for example, Elvis Presley stealing "hound dog". Surely, the "my Life in the Bush of Ghosts" thing is a lot more questionable both for its method and for its contents.

They used to play this constantly in the radio when i was a child, so long ago when i lived in Antofagasta (northern Chile) today they played it on Universo fm, such beautiful memories, amazing track 💝😊

Yo lo tuve en casette a mis 17 años, el año de su edición, el año 2000 me compré el CD y hace poco compré el vinilo, este album lleva 34 años acompañando mi vida y traspasado a mis hijos. Gracias Mr Byrne por ser parte del soundtrack de mi vida. Sldos desde talcahuano 🇨🇱

Saw Byrne in Philly on the Rei Momo tour. The show started with Byrne on acoustic for a set; then the curtain dropped and all hell broke loose. What a band, what a talent. Still my favorite DB album.

Such a great and often overlooked album. Make Believe Mambo is just one of many hot tracks on this album that features quite a bit of backing vocals from the legendary and gone-too-soon Kirsty MacColl. RIP.

If you love David Byrne, check out his Utopia show from Broadway. I saw it last September pre Broadway and precovid. Fantastic. I wondered why Dpike Lee was there in Boston at the show. Now l know he directed the movie for HBO coming out October 2020. Lots of Talking Head songs in it, especially my favorite, This Must be the Place.❤
