@@KevinUchihaOG hey i suggest looking at a google pic or videos on how to read cat language. like dogs, they communicate with their tails and ears. however, a cat wagging their tail side to side is not a good thing like with dogs. when they do this, they’re very annoyed and you should back up asap. if their tail starts to twitch while you’re petting, again retreat. when cat tails are straight up with the tip at a slight angle, they’re happy to see you. i think people try to apply dog language to cats and become shocked when the cat acts the opposite way.

i think the thing w jidion is ethan was trying to articulate that he was unprepared with debate skills, not that he was unprepared in the sense that he didnt know about racism or why stuff is racist or anything like that. like of course his lived experience as a black man prepares him to know what racism is and talk about it, but debating someone or trying to challenge their points and all that takes the "preparation" they kept mentioning, because people can twist your words especially if theyre people who hate you based on your intrinsic characteristics like race and already dont even see you as human. but its totally justified to be upset on jidions end if im right about what he thought. like if a guy tried to explain why im unprepared to talk about sexism, as a woman that would irritate me. but i think ethan meant like, debate skills and stuff like that. maybe im wrong but thats what i assume is the miscommunication here.

Totally agree. They both seemed like they had issues articulating their points. I think a big point that Ethan missed also was the whole “patronizing” thing. In the end it seemed like he still didn’t get why jidion was upset about that. In his mind he was probably thinking in terms of older creator giving advice to a younger creator, but I can see how it could be taken as mansplaining race issues to a black man.

I think Ethan is cool and I like his show.

@@hustler3of4culture3 exactly! the jesse owens thing kind of reminds me of how on frenemies he said “it’s weird how you’re (trisha) obsessed with jewish people, like hitler was obsessed with jewish people too”. just black instead of jewish this time. i like ethan too of course i think he’s a good guy with good intentions just a little uninformed sometimes which he admits a lot. i’ve been in german classes in high school and college since i was 14 so nazi stuff and wwii history comes up a lot, and more people def need to understand how the racism of that time period worked. jewish people were of course at the bottom but black people, slavic people, romani people, gay people, and disabled people were all heavily discriminated against (even slavs weren’t thought of as white), and what dan mentioned about the whole “racial hierarchy” was true. it saddens me mostly that a lot of schools don’t go in depth enough on this because it’s such a horrific era we should never forget
