i like tomplay it with a wah, on your site it said he used this eq thing to create the autowah effect and after i tried it with an autowah, man it sounded great, i don't have room for an autowah and a wah on my pedalboard so i just use a regular wah and i prefer it since i have a bit more control thank you for that information

Thank you! No that’s just a stock image. I honestly don’t remember the settings. I usually have most of the controls around noon with the gain backed off a bit. In this clip I also used compression, overdrive and delay.

You played the hell outta this song! Really enjoyed the bends and vibrato. Is the liquidy guitar sound of the original track done solely by the Leslie or a combination of 2 audio paths. One to Leslie and one through a univibe?

Thank you! I was trying to do that 1972 pre-Dark Side tone, which was a Leslie cab on stage. What he did on the album has never been confirmed officially. Sounds to me like a UniVibe done with two different guitars - one clean and one slightly cranked. Could also be a filter effect on the EMS Hi-Fli. I don't think he used a Leslie on the album.

Thanks! The chain is in the description. I'm using one SM57 placed about 4 inches from the amp and perhaps 1.5 ot 2 inches off centre. No trickery really. It's just fed right into Logic with a Focusrite Scarlett interface. No extra plugins added.

What do you think about the V2 of the strymon lex? It has a new mix knob. Do you know how that would compare to other gilmour rotary pedals?

As far as I can tell, it's very similar to the first version. The mix control doesn't get all dry, only 50%. I haven't tried it but it would be easier to control if it was possible to mix the signal 0-100%. That being said, to my ears, the Lex has always been the most accurate Leslie sim on the market. For Gilmour's tones I'd look into something like the Dawner Prince Pulse or Boss RT20.

Maybe another question since i saw the details of your gilmour knowledge on your website :D : ive got a axe fx 2 mkII so i stopped working with pedals because of the hussle of changing between presets / scenes in one song ( i play a lot of U2 ). Why dont you use a axe fx / digital moddeler ?
