I agree in part. Lebanon needs to fill the vacuum and gain control of its country. I'm not sure if the US should be the one that does that.

The UN can't be trusted for obvious reasons. Saudi might take it on but I doubt it. Salman has already said that he does not care about the "Palestinians", indicating that the Saudis want to stay out of the current conflicts.
