So the audience laughing along thinking all is OK and the woman/victim finds it funny and is not a victim is a painful to watch representation how we misunderstand body cues, survival mechanism and how the brain processes trauma/ the things our brain does to keep us alive

David Letterman was on TV for 90 minutes a night, 5 nights a week, for 30 years. He'd be the first to admit that he crossed the line on numerous occasions. It was a different time when this sort of thing was largely misunderstood to a degree. Doesn't make it okay, but it does explain why the audience is hooting and hollering at this type of behavior. So if you're Dave and your job is to entertain, and this sort of thing is positively reinforced by the audience and you are rarely if ever called out for these exhanges, it may give you the impression that it must not be that bad. Again, Dave has apologized on several occasions. And he wouldn't defend himself like I'm defending him here. As someone who grew up watching him on a nightly basis, I know that he wasn't some sort of sexual predator. He was a comedian/human being. And we all make mistakes. If we could pour through the last 30 years of everyone's life and edit it down to your worst moments, I doubt anyone would be happy with the result.

LOL, FUCK YEAH, yup Letterman actually had a lot of serial killer/rapist qualities, very pent up child hood it seems.

Women always sexualize themselves on social media for attention. Then, when they get attention everyone is supposed to call the police.

the first clip the fact he didn't even feel a bit worried he's doing it front of cameras, he probably does it a lot more in real life. But then again doing it in front of the camera maybe isn't too much when the audience are LEGIT LAUGHING WTF.

Он сказал в оригинале "it's not exactly ultimate test". Это скорее сексуальный намек. Странный чел, он даже маленьким девочкам отпускал похотливые шутейки на своих шоу. Но он теперь слишком стар для скандалов.

@@cussininthekitchen8224 the dude can’t look at someone now? Letterman has that weird energy with all his guests. I don’t get the appeal of him personally but let’s not go ahead and call him a pedofile haha

I think he was a little weird around the kids not cause of pedophilia, maybe he’s just naturally awkward around kids and doesn’t have a clue what to say. A lot of old school guys are like that.

Exactly. Agree with you 100%. But we now have all these self-righteous, self-appointed snowflakes who pretend to feel completely ravaged by simple innuendos and advances which used to be the normal interaction between males and females back then. Hypocrites like them have now destroyed all that without knowing that reproduction and the prepetuation of the human species has been a direct consequence of what they now call "sexual harassment".
@jakelover1731 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I thought the stuff with the adult women was pretty off-putting but the stuff with the two little kids was just him being a boomer who doesn't know how to make that type of conversation interesting. It wasn't s**ual and the slip n slide was a reference to earlier that episode.
@elputas Жыл бұрын
@@jakelover1731 On the contrary. David Letterman was very much appreciated back in the day. You are judging the past with your modern, short-sioghted millennial standards. But don't worry, most millennials are short-sighted so you are not alone...
