He's short-circuiting the whole "how did a dweeb like you pull a chick like that" conversation in order to move on. He's had this on several interview shows. If he just gets to the punchline, he doesn't have to deal with 5 minutes of slowly eking out the "you should be grateful!" punchline. (I mean, it's not really mysterious how they got together - he's very intelligent, she's very intelligent, obviously they link up somewhere other than the public's opinion of their fuckability)

I'm glad you enjoy his banter, I'm not really a big fan of him, but I do enjoy the banter and contrast between an (what you might think as) uncultured rapper and a very well mannered posh person. That is the same contrast that you get with Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart. I found out about David Mitchell and Big Narstie through the show "Would I Lie To You" which I'm a very big fan of - and I encourage you to check it out if you haven't already.

It's actually interesting to study Jimmy in the first minute or so where Narstie goes in on David about Victoria. Jimmy being great friends with them both, you can tell he was plotting on a viiiile burn to drop on Narstie if he went too far there, to stand up for his little David. Jimmy is a savage so you know it'd be a legendary one too, when he had to defend two friends at once in front of a big audience.
