@@RareHarmony I don't say this to try to be snarky or simply to argue, but what he believes does change it. The reason is he believes the truth of Jesus Christ, your Creator, and as a result, David is not singing to please a crowd, to get anything in return, for himself, but he is praising the Savior, he is worshipping God, he is singing to the glory of God in love for God. What someone believes matters very much, and for eternity. We all die, and we all are accountable to the One who created us and gives us each breath and heartbeat. And we've all done evil to Him, we are all guilty before Him who is the only righteous Judge. There is absolutely nothing we can do to earn anything other than His justice, His wrath. It matters very much what we believe, what we know, Who we know.

I wept like a baby the first time I heard this. It's the perfect song for me. He sings it so beautifully but it means something to him and for those who share his love for the Lord, he brings us together in deep, joyous worship and connection with the Spirit, with heaven, with the angels and all the saints worshipping before the throne.
